Hematologist?

my coordinator said my surgeon said she might have me see one ? She hasn't seen my blood work or my treadmill test yet. Has anyone else been asked to see one or know why?

Did you ask her why? Maybe she's just generalizing .. As in the event your labs come back abnormal you will need to see a hematologist before continuing.

When I was severely anemic I saw a hemologist for weekly infusions. I'm sure your cordinator was just prepping you for possibilities.

i forgot to ask. She did tell me that on my first eval my surgeon might have not said it to me but she mentioned it to her and that was weeks ago. I just assumed it was part of the testing but hematologist are experts if you have problems. I hadn't even got my blood tests then so I'm not sure

Oh.. Sounds routine then and maybe something y'all do in the pre-op stages
