I would suggest you get some meds to help you through this temporary slump. Your body AND brain have been through a lot.

Yeah I passed gas this morning looks like I'm going home. But my main incision is still killing me . How long does this pain usually last for? I know everyone is different but I would just like an estimate because I have to go back to work on the 10th

I had a revision from band to sleeve 3/23 of this year and I feel like it is my chance for a do over! I have lost all the weight that I had gained and it has already slowed but due to a stall and from what I have read, no different from anyone who has had the sleeve. I couldn't be happier

I can relate! I felt the same way being self pay. I kept thinking that there are so many other things I could use the money for. But, what is my health worth? A lot more than $5000! In the end, what ended up making up my mind was this: I know that I will save a lot of many on food. I'm just 4 weeks post op, and have already noticed a difference. So, within a few years it will have paid for itself.
And trust me, no matter the cost you ARE worth it!

What kind do you want get? I do like Precor and have always been a Precor fanboy. However, after spending a week with the latest commercial life fitness treadmill (built in hd tv, heart rate bars, smooth belt, complex sport 5k and 10k programs, etc), I now want one of them:

It was such a smooth run. Sigh...one can dream. I need to win he lottery to finance my new fitness hobbies.
Have fun looking for a treadmill!!

Good luck with all that. Most stressful part of my surgery was scheduling. Thought I had everything done to find out I did not, and the. Had to reschedule. Almost made me want to forget the whole thing. Turns out worth it in the end though.

I eat the double chicken chopped salad at least once a week. It does last me 3-4 meals so very economical. I love that you can go on their website, enter exactly what you want to eat and it gives all the nutritional value. I printed out my salad so I could keep tract of it on Lose It and also give it to my husband when it is his turn to go pick it up

I see as many saying 'I've gained' as those saying 'I've lost'. AND MANY have what you describe a few weeks out. From the posts, it ain't "real" weight gain, it's just your body dealing with recovery from major surgery. Just stay with your program and you WILL do fine!!!

Having the sleeve has given me the ability to finally lose this weight and get healthy. I don't feel cumbersome anymore....I see my old self emerging again. I can squeeze through much smaller areas....I used to be afraid to sit in a booth at restaurants!!! I can fit in all ALL the clothing lines I sell in my boutique. My blood pressure is perfect and my husband says I no longer snore. I am lucky enough to not have side effects other than done Hair loss which so far isn't noticeable due to thick hair.....taking Biotin to combat that. I am thrilled I finally did this and recommend it to anyone on the fence!

LiggleLiggle reacted to Lisa's Hope in Official One Year Before & After Pic. Down 120 Pounds.
Tomorrow is my official one year anniversary. This time last year I was so scared and excited about the surgery that was to happen the next morning. I remember the 1 hour drive to the hospital. I was so sick, miserable, and huge at that time and I knew I had to do this to get my life back. I knew that when I went through the surgery room doors, there would be no turning back.
When I awoke, I had pain and thought to myself "what in the world have I done". I was so thirsty and had so much stuff hooked to me. I had a pain pump catheter that was dispensing pain meds straight to my new tummy. By the afternoon, I was walking around and the next morning, I was ready to come home. I was suppose to stay one more day but I wanted to leave and so I did. When I got home... OH my goodness, I was in such pain!! Once I got my meds, I was fine though.
Recovery went slow for me but I didn't have any major complications. Thank the good Lord! I would do it again and I'm so glad that God helped me through this and I had faith to just trust Him.
As of today, I am down 120 pounds and am 20 pounds from goal. I started at a size 24/26 and am now a 10/12. The jeans I have on in the pic are 10's but they are so tight!! LOL
To all the new people that are thinking about having the sleeve. Just know that it is all worth it but it isn't easy. At least for me it wasn't. Now I'm working on the last 20 pounds and it is so hard to get the scale to move. I know that I will make it though. It may take 6 more months, but it will happen.
I'm so grateful for this forum. Thanks to all of you that always post wonderful compliments on my post!! It has been a great journey and I'm so thankful!

You are on the right track! Changing the focus from food to something else is key. If your friends don't accept your invitations to non-food activities, find a new friend who will. Easier said than done, I know. But try and meet new people at the gym, book clubs, volunteer activities, etc. Your focus has to be on yourself and a healthier lifestyle. Good luck!
