I know what's going on you're dehydrated!! This will definitely make you gain weight! If you "can't" do water afd some crystal light to it or add some lemon to it. There are also great recipies on pintetest where you add fruit and let it set overnight so ypu get some flavor. Any way you decide, you have to get your fluids in, not just for weight liss but for proper kidney function.

I was desperate for guidance. Found this gal on YouTube ...began duplicating her meal prep and following it to a tee. It has helped me. Along with all her other videos.
Give her a try.

I try to remember 3-2-1. Three bites Protein, two bites veggie, one bite starch. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Hi ladies. I'm new here. I've been lurking for a while now. I had my first appointment with my surgeon yesterday. It went very well. I have to do 3 months of pre-work before my insurance will approve me. I'm excited to start my journey but a little nervous. Hoping I can learn more info here. Thanks for all the insight so far.
Oh, btw, I'm in Baton Rouge, LA. Any Louisiana people here?

Hello all!! I was sleeved on 7/1/14 and was 304. As of today, I am down 72 lbs. I am very discouraged because I haven't lost any weight in many many weeks. I had my gallbladder out this week and hope this will help. Any suggestions??

Yes I have hit a stall too. But you have to re-evaluate what you are doing. I come to the forums for motivation because living every day life can throw you off track. I know what I can be doing differently. I'm trying to be honest with myself. We can break this stall!

Aline728 reacted to piercedqt78 in Men, does a woman's loose skin affect you at intimate times?
I have found that lingerie hides it well and I have enough that my plastic surgeon is helping me fight my insurance to get it covered. A good bra, and a fitted anything with spandex holds everything in nicely. I have been married to the same man for almost 14 years, but he says having me more flexible, no longer tired all the time, and the fact that without going into too many details we are able to do things now that we haven't done since we first got married totally makes up for the skin.

Thank you!! I am definitely going to check with my insurance company! Sometimes my "apron" gets in the way of exercise. I feel like a fraud too and I'm so ashamed of my big flabby skin on my stomach. It's the only thing left as a reminder of when I weighed 270 pounds. I'm scared of surgery but I really want to get it done next year. I also get ingrown hairs on my lower stomach that are pretty painful and leave nasty scars and have also caused my skin to darken. How long did it take you to recover? Did you go down a few dress sizes? Were you able to return to work after a few weeks? I've had a few csections so I just wondered if it was comparable to that. Thank you!

Aline728 reacted to gmanbat in Theres no such things as stalls
Your attitude will help you lose the weight faster.
Why?
Stress slows weight loss. Stressing over stalls helps them hang on longer. Dump the stress, dump the stall.
Your wisdom serves you well.

This is pretty scarey but you can stop the weight gain right now and go back to eating Protein first and then some veggies. I do highly recommend that you get back to therapy and work on those negative thoughts in your head to curve this cycle. You are not at a loss, this is just a learning lesson that we all must learn..... Here is a copy of LilMissDiva's "The Basic Bootcamp Diet" that will get the sugar out of your system, to abort the sweet cravings.......BTW i don't believe 150 lbs is where your going to stop, so let your body do the work it is suppose too. Eat under 1200 calories a day. You can do this.. Here is the plan:
The BASICS BOOTCAMP:
For 5 STRICT DAYS I will eat only...
Proteins: Seafoods, Poultry and eggs, Dairies, nuts/seeds including Peanut Butter.
Veggies: Green only.
Fruits: None.
Breads/Cereals/Other Carbs: None.
Fluids: One gallon of Water (128 oz.) or Protein drinks.
Avoid: Sugar and Sodium
Once the 5 days are over, I am pretty much over the Sugar Carb Demon. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate carbs! I do need them to live a healthy life and since I workout a lot it is important I have them. However, I need GOOD carbs. Whole grains, fruits, veggies... But I don't need processed sugars. White carbs, in cereals, breads, rice... etc.

Do NOT go to the grocery store until you have eaten! If you are not hungry, you are less likely to buy junk. Good luck, you can do this! Thank goodness I am still loving the SF popsicles!
