  2. I night in hospital & had mine over the holidays so I had about 3 weeks off...but I felt good enough that i could've gone back in a week if it wasn't a holiday & we were off anyway.
  3. I received liquid pain med too...but never even opened the bottle. I actually had no pain. But everyone's body is different so I say as long as you have pain take the med.

  13. Yes, it does make a difference...I too had a hiatal hernia repair & they told me I might feel some tightness for awhile. I did not, but I was expecting to. If it concerns you call your doc, that's what they are there for! Good luck!
  14. I love that you named your sleeve! Lol! Great loss for only a month..I'm jealous! Congrats & keep up the good work!
  15. Oh honey....stalls are the #1 topic of conversation on here! Just realize everyone is different, so try not compare yourself to others (which I find very difficult!) & know...we will all lose..we have to with the amount we eat...it just takes some longer then others! Just keep on doing what your doing...43lbs! WOW, how long has it been since you lost 43 lbs before this?? Keep rockin your sleeve & you will be fine!
  16. That shouldn't be a problem. & no, the size of your stomach won't change your dosage...but as you get smaller & your body size decreases they may lower your dosage. Just be honest with your doc...good luck on your journey!
  17. Oh yes, def a difference! Congrats! I'm 5 wks & lost no where near that..Jealous!! Keep up the good work!
  18. Ok, hope I'm not stepping on any toes...like I said this is NOT my recipe....someone else posted it here...I just can't find it here now...here goes: Protein balls 1 cup old fashioned oats 1 1/2 cups protein powder (I used chocolate) 1 cup Peanut Butter (I used crunchy Skippy) Handful of dried fruit (I used cranberries) Dash of SF Torani syrup (to taste) Splenda (I used 3 packets) Mix the glob together with a little Water until you get a consistency to roll into balls. Roll into balls a little smaller than golf balls and freeze. Take them out and defrost when you plan to eat. They're good frozen and defrosted. Yum!
  19. I am on meds & wasn't denied. I guess it depends on what meds...if your on a blood thinner that could cause problems. Check with your doc.
  20. Someone posted the recipe for protein balls made with oatmeal, peanut butter & Whey protein powder...they are YUMMY!! 1 will Satisfy my sweat tooth & chocolate craving (used chocolate Whey) & help me get in the protein!
  21. Wow...I'm 5 wks out and not lost near that! Congrats! I can only eat about 1/3 a chicken breast & maybe a petite carrot or two. I only eat till I'm satisfied & no longer hungry...not till I get that full feeling....if I feel that I've overdone it & miserable for a little while!
  22. Everyone's skin is different, so you will just have to loose & see what happens! But I agree with everyone else...a little saggy skin is nothing compared to good health! & you can always have it removed if it bothers you that much! I'm 52 also & am looking forward to my new body...saggy & all! Lol....good luck on your journey!
  23. OMG...there are 2 things I am convinced the Devil himself invented....the Treadmill & the scale!!! :-/
  24. My Sis-n-law & 2 of my friends had the bypass & they all 3 have either nausea & vomiting, or dumping. That's why I chose the sleeve, & I have had no complications what-so-ever! I can eat anything I want, just small portions!
