WOW.. congrats on your weight loss girls... and Danielle congrats on your engagement.
I wasted a huge portion of my adult life being and battling being overweight. I was even so ashamed that I stopped visiting family and have lost contact with many of them. Of course it doesn't help when they say something stupid like..." boy you are gaining weight" or "you sure are getting fat" etc... like I don't already know that!
Anyway, I get sleeved in 3 more days so hopefully things will get better.
As far as things to do... I teach scuba, another thing I have cut back on because of weight issues, but I still love to scuba dive. We have a scuba club here in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX that includes several women that have been sleeved or are using HCG to lose a lot of weight. It is nice to see I am not alone in the scuba world. So maybe even try scuba if you enjoy the Water.
There are so many things you will learn to enjoy... I love going on Disney trips with my grand kids and even without them. Disney has so much to be involved in while on the cruise. You could make that a fun reward for yourself after such a weight loss.
What are things you think you would like to do? Any dreams?

Congratulations to all of you for your weight loss.....and.....good luck to you that are scheduled for sleeve surgery... It is a fantastic tool to getting healthy again.
I am 59..... 5'3" and started at 328 (pre-surgery) and 294 on day of surgery (May 2) & today the scale said 234... ((94 total & 60 since surgery)) I feel so good.
If some of you don't know about my story, i started out in a wheelchair (back-knees-hip-hands arthritis) my weight did not allow me the ability to walk, my body would just collapse & buckle. I would end up falling after about 10-15 steps.... WELL: I no longer use my wheelchair around the house at all. I use a walker when we go shopping because there are times that my back still gives out and when i have to sit down, its like right now-no time to look for a chair. So that works best....I don't even think about the chair anymore and i had been using it for over 5 years.
Sorry to go on and on, but i just want you all to know the surgery works. Yes there are bad days, when foods don't sit well at all. I had diarrhea for a long time and NUT said to add a banana every day.. OMG - There are SO MANY carbs in a banana!!! but if it works, i will continue. (started Wednesday)
    Rambling again... sorry
you all have a fantastic weekend!

    Hello!
I had my sleeve surgery October 1, 2012. I cant believe that my surgery came and went so fast. I had surgery because I was tired of feeling 10 years older than my true self, I am 27. Yes, I can say that my weight has held be back from being and becoming the person I want to be or invisioned myself as, but I have lived a good life. Starting at a young age, I always knew I was bigger than the rest of the kids. At age 9, I was 150lbs, 12 years old, pushing 200, by high school, I was over 250 and I graduated, over 300lbs. I dont blame my mother for all the delicious food she prepared over the years, I have a younger brother and sister, both are athletic and pretty normal, maybe its just genetics or my obsession with mac and cheese.
I dont want the scale to rule the rest of my life...What I want to get out of this surgery is having a healthy, fullfilling life, where my looks dont control how I feel, inside or out. My goal is to get under 200lbs for now, maybe around the 170 to 180 range. I dont know how it feels to be under that weight, So when we get there, I'll see how it feels.

I'm scheduled for Tuesday October 16th. I'm nervous but also soo excited. I've been doing pretty good on my one week preop diet and I've been walking around mall about three times this week for extra exercise. Every time I go to buy something I stop myself and get excited that soon I will be smaller and will be able to wear some cuter clothes soon. :-)

My Dr has me on a clear liquid diet. I started today and my surgery is one week from today. He explained to me that the clear liquid diet was to shrink the liver. They have to lift it up during surgery and he said if they don't shrink it a little that it would crack and bleed, causing them to have problems seeing what they are doing. Not sure if this helps answer your question or not. The headaches could be caused from withdraw of caffeine. I get Migraines if I quit drinking soda or coffee suddenly. If that is it then it will get better really soon.
Good luck and I hope you feel better soon. Remember will be all worth it...

I had the migraines as well, which Im sure for me was caffine, it sucked but it got better each day. I was on full liquids so I was allowed some yogurt, thinned out cream of wheat, etc.. Im glad I did it, I really think it helped me with post-op.
