pumpkin cheesecake (filling only)
1 box instant sugar free Jello cheesecake
1 scoop procel unflavored Protein Powder (optional)
1/2 can Libby pumpkin purée
1/2 container free cool whip
2 c. Fat free milk (I use braums milk as it is higher in protein)
Pumpkin pie spice, to taste
Mix cheesecake packet with 2 c of milk as package indicates. If you use Protein powder, add it in with the cheesecake powder prior to adding your milk. Fold in 1/2 of the can of pumpkin purée and 1/2 of the container of free cool whip. Add pumpkin pie spice to taste (I add about 1 tsp i guess). Stir into the pudding and refrigerate. Serve cold, makes about 6 - 1/2 c servings (& I THINK it is about 75-100 calories per serving, dependent on brands used for ingredients but input it into my fitness pal or something like that to know for sure ok? i can't remember if I did it for 1/2 c or 1/4 c servings now grrr).
Other ideas: egg salad, cottage cheese, light and fit greek yogurts, my favorite cream Soup is cream of chicken with mushrooms (walmart), RTD oh yeah shakes (vanilla cream and strawberries and cream are my current favs).
GOOD LUCK!

Scaredy Cat reacted to ME123 in October Sleevers...so Excited!
I just got back from my PCP's office, had a physical, she took down all the information that needs to be sent to my surgeon for medical clearance, I cant wait for 10/18, It's like time is slowing down. The days are going by so so slow. I dont even want to go to work, I just want to stay home and daydream about getting this surgery. I was waiting for the scared emotion to hit me but, NOPE, just butterflys in the stomach excitement!!!
Anyone else excited and NOT scared for their special day to arrive?

Scaredy Cat got a reaction from Pepper Paul in My Journey Is Starting
Pepper Paul - no, it didn't have anything to do with you or your posts. I'm so so sorry if you felt that way. I feel really intruded upon and almost stalked by iggychicks former doctors office. So annoyed I wish I could "unfriend" them so I didn't have to read their baloney posts. Wayyyyyyy too convenient that they're all joining now - and all of a sudden - but they didn't know it even though they work in the same office. Wow, they must think we're really stupid. Sorry for the rant. I hope your approval is going well. I hope you find a really good and ethical doctor to assist you. Good luck!

Don't worry, it is cooked properly. The pink color is actually a reflection coming through the window from the leaves changing a beautiful orange.

Scaredy Cat reacted to bariatricnj in My Husband Thinks I'm Copping Out
If you haven't already, I would first invite him to an educational seminar with your surgeon. That's always a good start for those who do not completely understand the risks and benefits of surgery. On a side note, you may "like" exercising more if you can find a fun way fo doing it! It's not easy, but your body will thank you for it Best of health!

Scaredy Cat reacted to CowgirlJane in My Husband Thinks I'm Copping Out
MOST people I know have seen me struggle... and know that I have tried EVERYTHING since I was 8 years old and started my first diet.
My answer to the "Easy way out" comment would be "only way out".
I just could not break the obesity/hunger cycle. I tried and tried, I used to be able to lose weight and regain, but in recent years, i couldn't even really successfully lose weight anymore!
Unless you have been obese - I don't mean 10-20 pounds overweight, but seriously obese, you just don't realize that the person finds themselves in a physical cycle that is so hard to break. Used to be they blamed it all on emotional issues, and while that is certainly a component, just plain all consuming hunger and rive to eat is one of the many struggles for people with metabolic syndrome.

Chad, if you lived closer I'd come over and bring the non-alcoholic, non-carbonated, diet beer....otherwise known as lemonaid.
