Well I had my 2nd fill today. I am up to 2 cc's. Lets see how this goes. I am down 55 lbs since January, 40 lbs since my surgery on feb 28th. So that is 40 lbs in a little over 4 months. I guess I am right on target. My 1st fill was very easy. This one took a little poking and prodding, but all in all it wasnt too bad. I was hoping to lose 25 more lbs by August 28th, (getting married on a cruise ship) but I will be happy if I can lose 20 more lbs. Patty

My daughter is an actress. We live in Boston, so there arent many opportunities for movie roles, so she does alot of community theatre and student films. Yesterday she was called to be an extra in the movie "The Departed" which is starring Jack Nicholson, Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon and Martin Sheen. They said I could bring my older daughter too cause they needed about 70 people for a church fair scene. They picked me to do two scenes, one was with my kids (and about 100 other people) and the other is walking along a pier. They matched me up with a guy to walk down the pier with. Now pre surgery I would have never done the big scene and I am sure if I hadnt lost 50+ lbs they wouldnt have asked me to be in the 2nd scene. They were looking for average people. I guess I look average now. I am still morbidly obese, but I was shocked that they picked me!!!! Plus I bought a pair of size 22 jeans to wear to the set and I had to bring them back cause they were too big!! I grabbed a size 20 and they are even a bit roomy, size 18 here I come for the 1st time in 20 years....WOO HOO!! Patty

When I was about 15 my mother took me to a local Dr. There would be a huge line to get into his office on Friday afternoon. You would pay the receptionist, the nurse would write a script, the Dr would give you a Water shot and he would sign the script for diet pills, that was in the 70's. Man that was great speed!!! Do you know I was about 150 lbs, I thought I was huge. After the Dr lost his license, (believe it or not), I gained all my weight back plus 30 more lbs, then it was weight loss clinic, weight loss center, diet work shop, diet center. I lost and gained the same 50-100 lbs over and over again. After my 2nd daughter was born I took redux, I loved that!! plus I got "down" to 200 lbs, it took a while but I eventually gained all of it back, (I think it took 4 years to gait it all back!!. I havent been under 200lbs since I was about 20 (pre kids). I hope to be there by August. I did the black beauties thing too, but I dont think I slept for about 3 months... Doesnt top the zapper story, that must have been horrible!!

I am so sorry about Jake.

My 12 year old is obsese. She is currently on a "program" at the Tufts-NEMC, the same hospital I had my surgery. They want her to lose SLOW. She is like me, she lost 7 lbs the 1st month, we missed her next appt, then she gained 10 lbs. Its all about what we have in the house and size portions. We have begun measuring our portions. I couldnt believe the cereal portions. I think I was pouring the equivalant of 4 servings into the bowl in the AM. We are back on track this month!! I am hoping that as I get closer to her size she will try harder to lose weight herself. The worst part is that she isnt bothered by her size....She doesnt really care if she loses weight. Well I guess her psychologist will help her with that. Patty

Sorry, I dont know your answer, but I cant wait to go to amusement parks and NOT have to ask for the BIG seats!! Have fun!! Patty

I thought that wine would be a good choice, it probably would have, just not as much as I drank!!

Ok, I know I shouldnt be wasting calories on booze, but..... We had a cookout yesterday and I said what the heck, so I had a glass of merlot, and another and another till the bottle was gone!!!! I didnt eat at all and I crashed on the couch about 8pm.... I dont normally drink and I hardly ever drink wine (now I remember why). Now I want to go home and crash!!! I havent eaten anything today cause I am afraid it will come back up!!

I am a scale addict. I weigh myself about 3 times a day. I dont know why..... I am hoping with time this obsession will end!! Patty
