I just can't find much about Dr. Nigro online. That doesn't really mean much, but I would ask at the seminar how many times he has performed the lap band procedure.

Yes, please do let us know how that first fill is for you. And great to hear you two are heading for your second fills! It took 3 for me to really REALLY feel it, but maybe the 2nd one will be lucky for you. I've heard of some people never even needing a fill. Wouldn't that be great?! I just went through a birthday weekend with our daughter (celebrating her B I G 3 0) and we're heading out for a music festival in Starkville, Mississippi in a couple of hours. Since I didn't gain on the bday weekend (I lost even!), I know I can make it through this one, too. We'll be walking and standing a lot, so that should help. Be sure to let us know how your fills go. :-)

I'm not used to losing weight so aggressively!

When I'm eating out I ask for a glass of Water, only because I got tired of the 3rd Degree. :-) Nothing to drink, thanks. "Would you like some water?" No thank you. "Not even water? It's good for you!" Grrr. I understood they were just trying to be nice, but ever since I've just asked for water. Not drinking it is easy for me. I used to always have a beer with dinner, but I gave up drinking anything with meals before my surgery...as soon as I heard "The Rule".

Hey Kimberly! I work out 6 days a week at Contours Express on E. Battlefield. I alternate days of cardio and weightlifting. I can't believe it, but I really enjoy it! Everyone is so friendly there which just makes it seem like a snap. I've had 3 fills and I have 4cc in my 10cc band and I'm holding here pretty well right now. I could probably be tighter, but I am losing and am still able to take all my pills, etc. with no problem. I imagine I'll need at least one more in the next few months. PCGIRL, congrats on getting a date for banding! I remember well how excited I was that it was really going to happen. I've never looked back for even one second! Keep us posted on how you're doing.

My surgeon suggested a stool softener.

I was also very tired for the first couple of weeks, maybe even longer. Or maybe I was just milking the excuse to take a nap whenever I wanted to. :-) Just take it slow and easy and do what your Dr. advises. I understand about it not feeling real. I was banded in May and overall have lost 61 pounds. Talk about not feeling real!! It's incredible.
