  1. I'll be picking it up Friday (payday! lol) plus, my husband already knows I kick his butt if he don't go out for it for me lol
  2. I'm 24 and used to weigh 280. I'm about 235 right now (down 5lbs since prep diet!) I don't have "hanging skin" but I have hanging fat.... I'm sure you know what I'm talking about lol.... doc says I won't have TOO MUCH loose skin after I loose the weight but there MIT be some....toning workouts will help tighten the skin. My doctor (and friends!) all say that since we are "young" our bodies are still elastic lol
  3. Good luck! After my lapband i was having issues with my gallbladder..... My surgeon put me on meds for a week and the problem subsided.... I hope it doesn't continue when I get the sleeve next week..... Keep us updated. Good luck and sending prayers!
  4. so I've been reading this book called the everything post weight loss surgery cookbook. It's got everything from before surgery to surgery diet foods to 'Ive hit a plateau, now what?' I'm so ready for surgery.... I feel so prepared..... I know it's going to be a swift kick in my behind once I get out of surgery when I realize I wasn't ready but until then I'm just going to go with I'm ready for this purchased all my sugar free jello, crystal lights and waters....I got sodium free broths just in case.... Protein packets will be purchased Friday, liquid vitamins will be purchased as soon as the doctor tells me what I need..... But I feel like something's missing????
  5. Haha.this was me before I decided to have surgery.....of course I needed to know I'd it would taste good before I decided to do it lol
  6. I eat healthy and workout 3-4 times a week, either walking on my elliptical or swimming, but it doesn't help :/
  7. i wish yesterday was my last day of work.... Those people are stressing me out! A coworker of mine yesterday asked me when surgery was (I've only told them I need to get my lapband corrected....they don't know I'm getting the sleeve!) so I told her it was next Tuesday.... In a rude attitude, her response was "so your getting the lapband removed right? Because I don't see why you can't lose the weight with just diet and exercise!" breathe Tiffany........breathe........wooosah!!!!! Woooosah!!!!! this coworker of mine literally weighs 93lbs, has never had an eating problem in her life.... She's just this cute, tiny little Asian woman, about 35-40 years old.......and she's got the nerve to tell someone 3x's her size that 'diet and exercise' a going to fix me????!!!!! Oh hell no! I was so upset at that point.... I honestly didn't know how to respond to that. I just simply and softly responded with "I'm sure you have no clue what it's like to be this big and this disgusted in yourself. I'm glad diet and exercise work for you, but this is my body and my choice" the look on her face was pure stunned..... I'm pretty sure no one has ever responded to her rudeness like that before.... I'm so tired of people telling me what I should and should not do with this body of mine.... "god gave you this body" yes....he did..... And unfortunately, I ruined it and I'm trying to get it back.....so shove off! lord grant me the strength to continue to deal with these haters.... Help me see that they motivating me to work harder at the body I want! anyone else have these issues with friends/family/coworkers who don't know what it's like being like us? how did you deal with it?
  8. harassment? And a violation of HIPPA laws, in my opinions.... Unless the sr managers NEEDED to know, but I don't understand why they need to.... talk to a union rep or contact a lawyer. Good luck

wow that's great! Thanks for the motivation. I'm really glad I found this website (by accident!!!) none of my friends understand what I'm going through.... They all weigh less than 150lbs, whereas I was nearing 300lbs! They just don't understand! I'm glad I'm going through with this surgery.....I'm just anxious to get it over with and put my past behind me.... I am too young to suffer with this addiction anymore... I'm taking ahold of my life and getting my health back
  15. hahhahahahahaha that would be fun to watch....or send them to the mall for clothes shopping so they could see how depressing it is :/

waiting for surgery to get my sleeve on.... I'm nervous! I'll be taking before pictures on Sunday! wish me luck! surgery is August 21st Pre-op is August 13th pre-op diet starts Thursday! *my doctor finally told me that I'll be on a puree diet 2 days (with salmon or chicken for dinner) then a liquid diet for 4 days before surgery! Starts Wednesday!
  17. I told everyone when I got the lapband..... Different "friends" always told me that i should do it on my own, but they didn't know I gained 150lbs over 7 years..... Now that I'm getting the sleeve, I'm not telling anyone. My husband, family, my in-laws and my 2 closest friends (they both want the sleeve too....) They are all very supportive. My other friends are not. they still think I can go to they gym, run and lose the weight on my own...
  18. hey all, anyone from orange county? I'm being sleeved aug 21, looking for someone to go through the process with.... I'm starting to get nervous! :/
  19. also, if you like coffee or chai tea go to bariatricadvantage.com they have wonderful drinks called ProJoe.... It's protein coffee!!!!!
  20. I very highly recommend EAS. They sell it at target (4pack for $4.74). I prefer strawberry. It's the best I've come across in 2 years of searching hahaha!
  21. Hey all, I know everyone is different but im having surgery on August 21st and Im trying to figure out if anyone had a specific diet/lifestyle that they follow... i dont want to go back to eating terrible after my surgery....I know people who have and I dont want to be like that!!!! but I also dont really know how to eat healthy! does anyone, or can anyone, tell me their day-by-day/ meal-by-meal plan? im worried that if I dont know what I'm doing that I will fail, and i CANNOT fail.... I have the determination, the will-power but I'm missing the guidance! please help, thanks! Tiffany
  22. Ive had the band since January 2011. My sleeve surgery is on August 21st. My doctor suggested it to me! Just tell them you want the sleeve surgery.... My insurance and doctors are considering it an emergency surgery because I actually have a slipped band.... Good luck and keep us posted!
  23. Try baby foods and pedyalite.... It won't help with trying to eat different foods, but at least you will be getting the nutrition you need.... Also, try tuna.... Or canned chicken... It's perfectly cooked and never makes me slime or dump. I have the lapband but I'm getting the sleeve.... I plan to start with the canned stuff and work my way up to cooking it myself (it's cheaper to start with canned food.... Because if you can't eat it, it's not that expensive so you aren't wasting money or too much food!) Good luck!
