  1. Good Morning everyone, hope everyone had an extended weekend, like me, LOL. Thank goodness all the decorations are down and the house is back to normal. (Except, I do need to put Texas Santa away, he's hanging on my study door). Sherri, I think I'd have to pull the MIL aside and remind her, or I'd have to purchase a gift, wrap it and put from mom on the gift. You'd kill two birds with one stone, you'd protect DH, and mom would surely pick up on it. Cindy, you'll be @ size 16 before you know it, you've done such a wonderful job so far. You must be doing something right! Oh yeah, how about those Redskins? Jan I always recommend egg drop Soup, lots of Protein, might want to blend it a little. My doctor told me I could have anything that would go through a straw, but don't use a straw. Eileen, is it raining there? It's raining here, suppose to have thunderstorms tonight, hummmm, in January, oh well. The dreadmill, I have one of those, actually it has it's own room with a full wall mirror to see itself, poor thing just sits there day after day. So old, but so young, very low mileage, LOL. Have a great start to your New Year everyone.
  2. Bless your heart girl, thanks for sharing and I wish you a speedy recovery.
  3. Don't cheat! Try some egg drop soup, that helps fill you and it's got protein. You can do it! All of us banded know your pain of being without food, but ya gotta do it.
  4. Hey Eileen, I had to laugh, so much for the "no chocolate", LMAO. The car is a Lexus GX 470. I had the LX 470 for 6 years, loved it, sold it to my son who has the new baby. Check out what my Lapband Buddy sent me all the way from Texas! I now have my own Texas Santa, thank you soooo much Cindy, that was so special of you! Hugs and again Happy New Year to all.
  5. Happy Birthday Kelli, have a great day!
  6. Happy New Year to all! I fell asleep about 11:45, how exciting was that? Protein first today and no chocolate for a week. Going shopping for a new chaise lounge chair for family room. Finally picked up my new car last night, just in time for 2005 deduction, LOL. Still have to take it back to have the dual DVD head rest sets installed. It's really neat, it has a camera that lets you see what you're backing into. Only problem is it's the same color, (pearl white on the outside) and the same color on the inside as my other car. It does have a fancy computer screen that I can program my phone into and then when I get a call I just push this phone button on my steering wheel. Start your New Year off with happy, healthy thoughts.
  7. Yikes, I heard there was this really bad flu on the West Coast, heading for the East Coast. Wash your hands often!
  8. What a cool name for your dog. Sorry to hear of your loss, Hugs!
  9. Hugs and wishes for a very speedy recovery. You've been through so much.
  10. Oh no, that's wayyyyyyyyyyyy out there. I've been to Daytona Bike Week several times and the Myrtle Beach Bike Week. Every time we go, there's always these women there who apparently don't have any mirrors at home or they sure wouldn't have left the house looking like they looked.
  11. I didn't get a check, all I got was the water bill, the gas bill, the power bill, the utility bill, an increase in property tax notice, no check .
  12. Well, Ms Penni, if I had secret, I'd have saved myself a bunch of money. I would hope if I had lost my band, that I would eat more Protein and eat the protein first, which would be a very good idea for me to reprogram myself NOW. Good Luck Lady!
  13. I use to laugh and say I didn't spend $16,750.00 to exercise, but I think I'm going to have to do it anyway, ERRR, if not for weight loss, for a safer, longer, healthier life. Gotta keep this ticker going and sitting at the puter just doesn't get the heart rate up too much.
  14. Awww, I just love it when you guys share your family with us here. Thanks!
  15. That sucks, just kidding, I'm just JEALOUS! Awesome job, proud of ya.
  16. I do the Viactiv vitamin and the calcium too. No problems here.
  17. I suffered through being overfilled for a month, won't do that again! I kept thinking I was probably swollen, not, I was too tight. It was such a relief to have a little taken out.
  18. I can feel my port, it doesn't actually stick out, it just looks a little swollen in the port area.
  19. I'm 55, soon to be 56 and my mom, MsMolly, was banded in April, she turned 74 Sept 5.
  20. Who is to say what is normal for VQ is normal for me??? I hate when they tell me I'm in the "normal" range, and just who is that normal person? Is it someone who weighs in at 105 or 255? I'm a firm believer, what's normal for you, or you, or you, may not be and is probably not normal for me. Did that make sense?
  21. As was stated in a thread a few days ago, know your band, if that's possible. Obviously, you knew there were problems. Good luck with the testing.
  22. I've been so bad this week, my worst week since being banded. Very poor choices and over eating. Those fancy cookies that come in the big tins at Sams Club, well I've been dipping into those, I don't even like the taste of them, just eating them because they're there and easy. All the decorations are down and put away, so tomorrow, it's back to being a better bandster. I've been hungry the past two weeks, which is also unusual since being banded, but if I get a fill, I'll be pbing all the time. To fill or not to fill, that is the question.
  23. That's great, gosh time flies, it's hard to believe a month has gone by already.
  24. Very interesting, give me more muscle.
  25. Mandy, thank goodness for Wendy's chili and the refried Beans at Taco Bell, both with sour cream, yummm. I hope your daughter realizes she is healing and she needs to be very careful what she eats at this point. Don't tell anybody, but I had a milk shake every now and then, while I was on liquids.
