  1. Betty, I can't believe it's not there yet, it's quite a large box. It was sent USPS, not UPS. You're going to Mexico too! I want to go. I got raccoon eyes today, from wearing my sunglasses, now that's attractive. My legs look tanned, too bad I'll lose it before warm weather gets to my house.
  2. PS, it sounds to me that you enjoy eating, as most of us do or did. Preband, everything I did centered around food, family gatherings, parties, socials, etc, my main concern was what will there be to eat. I loved the taste of food and I loved to eat it. I've been banded over 3 years and food is NOT my priority any more, life is . I now go to places and I'm not the biggest person there, I don't head straight for the food line, I enjoy people now. The band is a tool, you will still have to get your head in the right place for it to work. I wish you the best with your decision. Did I mention I actually like ME now, LOL
  3. Congrats on the burp Mike. Sounds like you're doing great...WTG!
  4. I have coffee every morning, I was never told not to drink coffee, just carbonated beverages. I used the light my Maxwell House for a while, then I switched to Dunkin Donuts brand, yum.
  5. I'm always late, for everything. I read once that ppl like me are late so they make a "grand" entrance.....NOT. I don't plan on being late, I just think of other things I need to do before I leave. Of course it helps that I'm the boss and I sign my own check, LOL.
  6. I drink regular coffee every morning, I don't have an after taste, but I don't care to drink as much as I use to. Do you use artificial sweeteners?
  7. LJM, you've got such good spirits, keep it up  Please keep us informed.
  8. Carla, I'm here for you  Been there done that, love Dr. T!!!!! AND his nurse Danni He's awesome.
  9. Betty, did you get your harley box? Loaded with Harley stuff. Girlies, eat your heart out, it's 77 here, I got a jump start on my tan, all is good, LOL. OK, it's cocktail hour ))))))))
  10. OK Carla, I had another post, it wasn't very nice about your PCP, so I guess it got lost. I love my band, self pay and all, the best thing I ever did for me, beside the TT and the boob job
  11. Well hello ladies, I got you all beat, Dr. T was my doctor AND I was his first lapband patient It's all good. Gina so good to see you on here, and Ms Diane.........I got a buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, and a new tan  It's 77 here, awesome, finally some decent weather here. I'll be at the pool at 9:00 in the am. OK OK OK I know in 10 days you'll be in Mexico :wink2:
  12. LJM, I'm so disappointed for you, you're handling it so well, but like I mentioned before, if it wasn't going to cost me so much to cancel, I know I would have, but of course, now I'm glad I didn't. Hugs, please let us know what's up.
  13. OMG, when they pulled my drain tubes out, she told me to take a deep breath and then she'd pull when I let out my breath, OOOOOOOOOOOUCH, that tube must have been a foot long, both of them. I can't believe you pulled your own stuff out, you're so brave. OK, what's up with the blood work? Any clue what that means to you? Details please. Hugs for missing your date, just hope everything else is A-OK.
  14. E..I think it was from removing the compression garment, and the rush of blood made me dizzy and almost pass out. It was NOT from pain, just a very weird feeling.
  15. Yikes, that's awful, an unfill due to being sick. Hadn't heard of that happening before. I've had a nagging cough for over a week, along with a rattle in my chest, which is a pain in itself, but to have to be unfilled, poor baby! Hugs!
  16. Tami, as much as I hate the old saying, I do believe there is a lot of truth to it. Sorry you're under the weather, hope you feel better soon
  17. Mandy, I know it must have been hard to make the decision to move her, but kids rebound quickly, hopefully, this will be true for DD. Hugs
  18. LJM if it was all that bad I would tell you for sure, but I swear, I was off all pain meds by day two. Dealing with the drains was by far worse than the pain itself. Plus, once you take off the compression garment the first few times, be ready to grab a chair or seat, because I got soo woosy, thought I was going to pass out. You'll be fine. I was just telling a friend today, I'll be glad when all the swelling is really gone so I'll know what size clothes to buy, LOL.
  19. LJM, how did that preop go? Did you get all your ? answered to your satisfaction? I still have swelling, and I'm still wearing the compression garments, aka, tight ass undies, lol. I can sure tell when I don't have the more expensive ones on, I start to feel sloshy in the tummy. Have a great day all.
  20. Where is everyone? Just stopped in to say hello and it's beautiful FINALLY here in Fl, it's supposed to be almost 80 today and over 80 tomorrow.
  21. Neal, it will be an adjustment for you, I've never slept on my back, LOL. It feels like after a while you can't move. I'm a side/tummy sleeper, but have not slept on tummy yet. I think I mentioned my doctor said sleep, regardless of position was more important. Write your questions down, you think you'll remember, but you won't.
  22. I'm jealous y'all get that hiccup warning, I don't get that signal .
  23. I wore a long house robe home, it was soft and warm and zipped all the way down the front. I don't remember getting into it or them putting it on me, LOL, or being wheeled to the car.
  24. I had it under my arms and the "flanks" as the doctor called them, the area the bra covers. I think I was able to sleep on my back because it was even pressure, if that makes sense. Then I couldn't stand it, but for so long, not through an entire night, so I lie partial side/partial back. For the first week, I actually used a round pillow wedged in my back. I've had my bra off now for about an hour and my back is starting to ache, so I'm off to get the "sports type bra issued at surgery" back on. I think it's the girls new security blanket, lol.
  25. I didn't have any tummy pain, but my left should ached for weeks. Rubbing it helped more than anything for me. It does pass, but it took a while for me.
