  1. C... they didn't give me a breathing thingy and even though I was xr'd for pneumonia, I still think I had something. I had a cough from hell for almost three weeks. Breathe girl, breathe and keep using those leg pumps, I called them leg irons, because I always felt trapped when they were on. Hugs and a speedy recovery sent your way! PS, Did I mention I'm so happy for you .
  2. Hey Jetti, Diane is in Mexico, probably sipping on a big fat margarita. Speaking of losing hair, I've been making tiny balls out of hair that's coming out when I wash my hair...YIKES. Fortunately, I have very thick hair, so the warning light flashed, so I've started concentrating on Protein intake. Are you getting your protein in? Later girlies, will try to do personals tomorrow  Hubby and I had the best meal tonight at Bone Fish, I had a salad, well I ordered a salad to go with my appetizer of ahi tuna, then my salad was delivered half way through the ahi that was on lettuce, that I thought was my salad, LOL.
  3. Carla, I'm very easy to talk to, ask the NJ thread girls . Call me before you spend a lot of money on things or stuff you may not need. Also, see my post about my mix with the magic bullet blender. You have to do preop liquids YIKES.
  4. Dr. Terracina in Newport News was my doctor, I was self-pay, he may take Cobra.
  5. Good luck everyone on your journey. I was one of the lucky ones that didn't have to do the liquids preop. I have a hard time getting enough Protein down as it is. I use the rice protein, found it the easiest to drink, doesn't have a heavy smell. I use the "magic bullet blender", it's small, doesn't take a lot of space and clean up is quick. My concoction is a scoop of ice, about 1/2 of container, a few frozen strawberries, orange juice, 1/2 a banana, 2 scoops of protein, a pack of spenda, blend well and enjoy.
  6. Wishing you as speedy a recovery as I had . Hugs
  7. Good luck C! Can't wait to see the new you!
  8. Glad Abi sailed through, kids are amazing . Sherry, don't let that new LB job take you away from us, LOL. Will be back later.
  9. Carla, you never called, did you change your mind about lapband?
  10. Thanks for the hugs, here's a special one for Abi today ((((hugs)))).
  11. Mandy, thanks for sharing your story, it helps. I called today and my consultation is Mar 27, a freakin month away. She said if it had been an emergency, the doctor would have called and scheduled, BUT, I chose a diff doctor . The appointment lady said they make you drink miralax and 64 oz or gatorade. I asked about the pills, but my luck they'd get hung in my band, YIKES. I'll be thinking about Abi, I know that's so hard for you as well. Kat, welcome to my world, lol, remember I missed our flight last week. OK, I've decided I'm not going to dwell on this situation, it is what it is :smile2:.
  12. Thanks Kat, I knew I could count on you to make me laugh. AND, I can tell you right now, another PIA he would be! Diane called and gave me a phone hug..thanks Diane. Yeppers, I'll be phoning the doctor tomorrow, I wish they could do it Thursday! I'm hoping to try the pills again. They didn't work the last time. Later.. Kat, I had to read that post one more time, I think I'll frame it and stick it up DH's butt.
  13. OK girlies, I'm bummed, I was having this great time at the doctor's office showing off my new tummy, chatting away with the nurse practitioner that I see, only to be interrupted by her assistant to tell her my stool test came back positive...aka, blood in the stool. Well needless to say, that got my attention! So, I've already been online and self diagnosed myself with at least 22 diseases! Everything from Crohn's, Leukemia, upper and lower GI stuff, this sucks! We were in the midst of chatting about me finally taking the plunge and getting the colon thing done, well guess that's not an option now, the sooner the better! Of course, I told DH, who never worries about anything and all he can talk about is buying property in FLA, WTH! OK, I'm collecting hugs
  14. I was able to drive as soon as I got off the pain meds, which was day three, but I didn't drive until day five. I'm so jealous of you all not having drains, I wish you'd told me that a month ago, LOL. I still have an issue with swelling, not bad, but like I mentioned the other day, I still use the compression panty during the day. Karey, I have the neatest pic of the perfect breast, IMO, if you pm me your email, I'll forward it to you. I wish I'd printed it and shown it to my PS.
  15. Betty, I'm so relieved you got the box, especially the coat. It's probably too large for you, as are the shirts, but seems I remember you got big boobies :frown:. Kat, you crack me up with your eloquent descriptions...the tramp stamp, the pink puss, you're too modest, lmao! Yes Gson's mom is still at it. She had my son arrested 3 weeks ago for "assault" because he cursed her out and blocked her car with his truck, while baby was in his truck, so then she also pressed charges for child endangerment. He was wrong to have called her a whore in front of gbaby, but he was in a rage of jealousy, they had been together for two weeks, and she had spent the night at his house. While he was cooking breakfast she got on his computer and found pics of a bunch of girls he'd hung out with on the boat, last summer, so she informed him she was going out with a guy she met on EHarmony. Unfortunately, the following morning, he was on a mission to find her and passed her on a major thorough fare, did a u turn and followed her to her girlfriend's house who witnessed the entire episode. So, he blew it, showed his a$$ and it cost me $4,000 to bail him out. She had him arrested about three days later. The reason it took three days, was because she was waiting for him to take her OFFER of giving her more money per month. She wanted $300 more, but finally after he was arrested, accepted $200, so no he will be paying $1600 per month, because he lost his cool. She did it last time and she'll continue to blackmail him for money or press charges. When I tried to press charges for her assaulting me and pulling a golf club on me, they said it had been over a year and they wouldn't do it. Then when DS tried to press charges for her trying to run him off the road in Dec, they refused, saying he didn't have any witnesses...WTH. Anyway, hopefully the charges will be dropped and they will both have to take anger classes and child rearing classes. Only 20 more years of drama if he goes to college, 16 if not . Gina, just as Dr. T for the cream, it's probably all in my head, but I swear it helps, hard to believe it's almost been a year since my last fill. Diane, the tan's about gone, , hubby is already talking about going back to Fl to check out another property, I'm so hating it, truly, the last thing I want is a place in Fl. We could take a heck of a lot of vacations to Fl for the $$$ he's wanting to spend on a place. We're not on the same page for sure. Well, gotta go shower and get ready for coochie check today, hate those yearly physicals. Hope she doesn't mash the boobs too hard, they're still tender, LOL. I know TMI . Later
  16. No way you get numb to it, notta chance! Hubby and I went and looked a few years back at the albums of choices, but I just couldn't muster up the nerve . Kat, I enjoyed the chat and the pictures. I'm excited, Wed, if all goes well, I will get to see my gson, the one who has the psycho for a mom , it's been almost a month since she's let my son see him or take him, AND, he loves his Daddeeee so much.
  17. LJM, I can't believe you're not having any drains, just curious how your doctor will control the swelling. I was afraid to have mine taken out, because he said if I started to swell or retain Fluid he'd have to put them back in OH MY :smile2:! Your doctor must have a secret , which I'm very happy for you, because, like I said before I truly believe the drains were the worst part of my surgery. I wish you the best, you'll do great! Neal, I know you'll be glad to get those two out, you'll feel so much better and showers will be a breeze after that. Karey, are you nervous yet ?
  18. Kat, have a safe trip, you're such a great daughter. Enjoy your dad while he's here . Betty, it has to be something to do with indegestion or heartburn, because it starts as soon as I've been on my back for a while....OK Eileenie, get your mind out of the gutter, not that long on my back, remember we're old, . Mandy, I'll bet you'll get 100 miles per gallon, OMG that's a tiny car, are you sure it's safe? Cute car, but scares me. Sherry, what a woman....who would have ever thought you had a tattoo of that size :smile2:....12-14 hours of needles, you'r chitting me!
  19. Gina, get Dr. T to give you that topical cream to spread on before the fills, I use it every time, he also gave me Valium to take, LOL, but I don't use that any more. I only would take 1/2 before I went. I hate needles too. The last time I gave blood at the Red Cross, I turned too quick and saw the supposedly point of the needle, looked like the end of a dull pencil, I almost threw up.
  20. Thanks for the Tums info, BUTTTT,. I eat two every night, I keep the large bottle in my nightstand, otherwise my back kills me, but as soon as I pop two, it's gone instantly . I will keep that in mind though, because during my TT recovery I didn't really use them, but I'm back on them now. I can sleep on my tummy now, woohoo. Sherry, I fed my critters today too, I took three bags of chips and old bread down to the pier and threw it overboard, it was so funny, I thought I was going to be chit on for sure, those seagulls come out of nowhere! Oh yeah, loved the Tattoos, I always wanted a little Casper on my outer thigh, but I was chicken, NOTHING chicken about our Sherry! I fixed a crock of soup today, then tonight made a soup run, took containers to my mom, my son, and my grandson. It was good, but hubby said it needed more "soup", so I had a bottle of Bloody Mary mix I bought today, then didn't like my drink, so I poured almost the entire bottle in the soup, hey it's soup now! I had steak I had cut up for kabobs this summer and used the foodsaver to freeze them, well, it sure made the soup delicious . OK, I'm outta here.
  21. Lynn, it sounds like you're doing really well, that's awesome. I didn't have the pain pump, but didn't really need it. I may have to have lipo done on a "fluffy-puffy" area, if the swelling doesn't subside. I still wear the panty type garment when I'm out and about, figure it can't hurt matters. Looking forward to the pictures when you're up to it.
  22. Hey Sherry, or shall I say "Chatty Cathy", LMAO, the sweeling is still there, as a matter of fact, I went for my post op Friday and he said I have a little puffy area between the "public" hairline and the scar, he said he could do lipo on that or "cut" it out under local, NOT, I don't hardly think so . I'm done with the compression garments, but I still wear the tummy one when I'm out and about. Got Abreva working on the freakn sore, what a pia or in this case, the lip. Later gals Pics of the wheels Mandy
  23. Mandy congrats on the new car  What color? Sherry I'm so jealous, I wish it was me being made over, I need a new hair style. I managed to do something diff yesterday on the sides, but I'll never be able to get it to do it again. It was one of those few and far between days, hey my hair looks pretty good today. Betty, I can not believe you haven't received the box. Of course, I didn't spell out to my assistant to put insurance on it, so it will probably be lost, it doesn't even have a tracking number. Kat...the "box" had Harley stuff, a really cool suede jacket with tassles, and lots of Harley shirts. I think I shipped one that says if you can read this shirt the sob fell off. I had another one that says I might need a man for lots of things, but riding a Harley ain't one of them. I sure hope the box isn't lost. Sherry, what's good for a fever blister, aka, cold sore? I get these dm things every time I'm fighting off a cold or when my lips get chapped. I got one the day we were leaving for Florida, started Abreva and it was gone in 4 days, now another is starting to pop up. Anyone familiar with the Naples area of Florida? Our deal on a condo in the Reunion Resorts fell through, bunch of crooks. We were supposed to get a Ginn approved furniture package, but because the deal was so sweet, they pulled the electronics part of the package...WTH. Ok cuties, have a great day.
  24. Neal, you look awesome. I know you're enjoying the new you, especially since the drains are out. Went for my almost 6 weeks post op yesterday, I don't go back for two months. I don't have to wear the compression garments anymore and I can sleep on my tummy now. Aww, the little things in life that make ya happy, LOL. Karey, I have to have the after pictures done when I go back .
  25. LM2D, as you've probably read by now, Dr. T is my doctor as well. Great guy and wonderful doctor :tt2: My surgery was a little over $17K, but that was 3 years ago. Love my band, the best thing I ever did for ME!
