I miss my ravioli
Well gang, up until a couple of days ago, I didn't think I'd need a fill on Monday, but something has happened and I can eat anything and everything, which makes it extremely difficult to make good choices. The bad/sad part is, I can feel it go straight through and land in my lower stomach. On one hand I guess I'm all healed now, on the other I sure liked that restricted feeling and can't wait to have it back again. Blossom, didn't you just get a new fill? I sure hope mine kicks in ASAP. At this rate I'll be wearing my same clothes in the spring, boohoo

Been there, done that too Jonathan, I lost 50 lbs 20 years ago and swore I'd never be heavy again, here I am and then some. It happens, hopefully, the band will take care of that returning problem.

Paid off my Band
What a trooper, went by yourself, you go girl, that takes guts and money. Congrats on paying off the band.

Leatha, the s/f candy just gives me gas, no poop.

Getting Banned on the 17th
Congratulations on your band date, also it helps to take a swallow of water before you take the pills, nothing worse than dry, crushed pills getting stuck to the top of your mouth. FYI, I didn't have any problems taking my pills, even after surgery. I did cut my pain meds in 1/3, but other than that no prob.

A Christmas Tale

Joke Thread
After Adam and Eve finished having sex, Eve stepped into the creek and started washing up, soon this loud voice says, "OH NO EVE, I'll never get the smell outta those fish".

constipation (not for those that get queasy)
I had one removed when I was 19 years old, it was quite painful. Before having it removed it would drain, itch, and be sore. Lisa, that's right where it is, top of the butt crack. If you don't have it removed and only lanced, it can come back. I've been using prunes as a snack as well, wonderful gas I might add. But prunes alone do not do the trick for me and great Leatha, just what I needed to hear, Protein adds to the problem. If anyone finds the miracle fiber, please let us know. (my dh just came in and wanted to know what I was reading and couldn't believe I was discussing constipation with strangers, I said, but I know these people)

Help! I'm feeling so negative about my band!
Isn't that wild about the band size, you silly girl! Glad everything is working out. The last two days have been my hungriest (is that a word), so I'm anxiously awaiting my fill on Monday, we'll be getting our fills together, just different states, lol.

NSV anyone?
I crossed my legs today, without using my hands to scooch one leg on top of the other, AND, they stayed crossed!

I know I am stupid but...
I don't have a fill yet either, but I get this pain in the middle of my back, just below the shoulder blades, a very tight pain....that says without words, warning, warning, warning. I know to slow down immediately. Leatha...nice pictures, you've always to the tech side covered.

Kelly-Dylans Mom???
So glad to hear you're feeling better, (next time that DH will take your seriously), and sounds like on the way back to being yourself. Take care of yourself.

Regrets?
My regret is the band was not an option when I was younger. I admire the young people who will be able to enjoy their thin self through the prime of their life and will more than likely extend their life along the way. On the other hand, I'm very thankful I was able to afford the band (selfpay) and look forward to the remainder years as a thinner, healthier me.

Kelly-Dylans Mom???
Anyone hear from Kelly lately? It's been a few days and she wasn't feeling well. Here's to you Kelly girl, hope you're ok.

How has your relationship with food changed?
I cook just like your dh and I hate cleaning as bad as I hate cooking. It took me 35 years for my dh to give up and be happy that he got anything, takes a little longer to train them over here on the east coast, lol.

i will be banded tomorrow
Congratulations Sammy, good luck on your band journey.

How has your relationship with food changed?
Betty, when my dh asks what's for supper, I ask him which direction he's coming from and it depends on where he wants to stop and pick it up or does he want a pizza, they deliver! I keep food in the freezer that can be popped into the Advantium and cooked in a few minutes, thank goodness for Sams and Costco. A cook I'm not!

WATER Challenge
For you chocohalics out there, as I've mentioned before, I use the Viactiv active nutrition for women by women, (sorry guys), soft calcium chews. I put three in the candy dish along with my s/f hard candy, then when I have that grazing going on I reach for one of the s/f candies or the calcium chew. It provides the calcium and sure helps with that need for choc. Just an idea.

Feeling Down

Fill Prices
My surgery was done in Hampton, VA. It was a package deal of $15,750.00, broken down..$10,500.00 hospital-1 night stay, $4500.00-surgeon, $750.00 anesth. All paid up front. That did not include the $150 psych bill. Now every one who read an xray is trying to charge me additional, the ekg readers want money. I keep refering them to the hospital and dr's office. I'm not paying any more! Then the hospital called and wanted me to work out financial arrangements for these other little charges because I DIDN'T have insurance. I told her I DO have insurance, and who it's with is immaterial because they don't cover wls and they wouldn't be getting anymore than the $10,500 certified ck they got before they did the surgery. They kept trying to get me to pay 1/2 the charges since they thought I had no insurance, but once I told them I had insurance, they were trying their best to get the name so they could bill them full price. That's why our rates are outrageous. I own a construction business, one day one of my guys got cut, as soon as he went to medcare, they wanted to know if workers comp was paying, I said NO, I would be paying. Now if he'd broken his leg and was going to be out of work for a while, I would have give them the w/c carrier's name. Paying that $150.00 for stitches prob saved me a couple of thousand from prem increase for reporting a claim. Workers Comp Ins, that's another whole ballgame. Oh Lisa, I guess I was kinda bored too, ramble, ramble, oh yea, fills and follow up are included for a year, without fluro, after that, I won't care, because I'll be at goal. (Please Lord let me be at goal, lol.)

Betty, I would have sent you a get well, but I feel like a real dummy, I've never been to the "lounge" before. I especially like the joke thread. Glad you're better.
