  4. I had the band for 3 years and i was able to eat anything i wanted. I love my sleeve, it surely is in control. I only lost a total about 26lbs in the beginning with the band and now, 41/2 months sleeved, ive lost 69lbs! I absolutely love my sleeve! dont hesitate!
  5. I know that you are excited about it but I would wait. I mean, you want to enjoy your 2 events you have planned and you never know how the surgery will turn out as far as pain, bloating and stuff like that. You need to heal properly and you will be taking a chance. You already have your approval letter, so, you know you are gonna have it. Youve gone through a lot, take this time to enjoy your events and then do the surgery so you will have your mind clear and your body ready for the adjustments!
  6. I had 1/2 cup whole wheat spaghetti with 1 wingette. Honestly, i wanted to eat another wing, but couldnt! lol
  7. Yes, it will happen. It has no choice, just follow the rules. Your body is in reservation mode! It is in shock and it tryin to catch up to whats happening to it. When you start to drop, you will seriously drop! So, be prepared to wipe your glasses when you step on that scale, a few times in a few seconds just to make sure its right! lol. Good Luck

  10. You guys are giving me an idea to join this! is it just myfitnesspal.com?
  11. Good advice 803Misty. I feel the same way. Dont compare yourself to anyone else because you have no idea what happened on their end. Whether is was complications from the surgery itself or if it was something they did to may have caused the problem. Just listen to your body and follow the rules. If you feel something isnt right, go to the ER at once, otherwise, enjoy your procedure and make it work for you! Good Luck to you!

  13. oh ok, this just seems to be all the time with her. Im tryin to research to see what it could be, she doesnt have a computer.
  14. Hello, a friend of mine just had the VSG on the 25th of July! She has been experiencing pain on the left side and she describes it as feeling like stitches popping inside her. I have asked her has she been following the rules and not eating what she isnt suppose to, drinking her protein, water and walking and she says yes. Im not sure whats going on. I didnt have any pain like that in my recovery. She has gone to the surgeon but i guess it wasnt anything serious because they didnt have her go to the hospital. Anyone else had this problem with the pain still, this far out after surgery?

  17. I certainly respect how you handled that because I think I may have reacted first and then thought. That was the main reason why I didnt tell my coworkers what I was doing until Id done it. I didnt feel that my decision was any of their business anyway. Now, after I got back to work and they started to see the weight loss, they started to tell me how good I looked and when they asked me what id done, i just said, well, for my portion control, I had the sleeve done. Other than that, Im working out and have changed my eating habits completely. If I did have any haters, they knew better not to mention it around me. I get along with everyone but I also speak my mine to anyone. Good Luck to ya!

  20. Yey! Congrats to you! I know the feeling of being excited and scared at the same time! lol, I also had the band 3 yrs ago and it didnt work for me so i chose the sleeve. Let me tell you, THE SLEEVE IS IN CONTROL, ALWAYS! LOL So, dont think you gonna SQUEEZE food by like we did with the band! lol. This was the best decision I have ever made for myself and I would do it all again. You will be amazed at the results if you follow the plan. Good luck to you and I cant wait to hear that everything went well!
  21. oh ok. If my insurance will only pay for the Panniculectomy, then thats all I will have. I really just want to get rid of my SMILEY FACE, that hangs a bit at the bottom. They dont have to touch the muscles! lol
  22. Cool, what insurance do you have? I have united healthcare. Thats great that your insurance will cover the tummy tuck. If my insuance dont, then i will have to just pay for it. I may only need the Panniculectomy though.
  23. Does anyone know if insurance pays for a tummy tuck after they have paid for the Vertical Sleeve?
  24. Hello, I didnt hear anything about your protein drinks. That pain in your thigh is from dehydration. you need to drink at least 64 oz of water a day, just sip by sip. You must get the protein in to help you heal and save your muscle mass. That is very important. Make sure you are doing some kind of walking , even if its just around the house from room to room so that you dont develop blood clots. That water and protein is VERY VERY IMPORTANT IN THE HEALING PROCESS. I know you can do it! Good Luck!
  25. THE NUT APP IS 3 HOURS OF HELL! LOL, MAKE SURE YOU WEAR YOUR GLASSES! LOLOL, FEELS LIKE I WAS BACK IN SCHOOL WITH THE S A T'S! LOL
