Something Just Dawned On Me.... Swallowing Meds
My doctor considers applesauce as a clear liquid. Perhaps you can mix your crushed pills in the applesauce and take them that way. However don't forget you have to get sugar free applesauce! Normal applesauce may have too much sugar at first. But I guess if you only eat a little bit of it you'll be okay. Ask your dr if this method will work for you!

Type 2 Diabetes
If your speaking of having WLS I definitely think you can reverse it. However reversing diabetes without WLS is a gamble but still possible it just has a lower probability. There are several studies on this you should google it. Now, I was diagnosed with the dreadful diabetes in June of 2011. I too was on 45 units of lantus and 20-25 units of humalog or Apidra before every meal. After a few months I quit taking the humalog Bc the lantus was working fine. So when I found out WLS could reverse diabetes I was all in. In fact, I had never considered having WLS until I was diagnosed with diabetes. I was so depressed and never wanted that disease to me it was a death sentence. I couldn't take it. So without even really thinking it through I had the sleeve done on July 17th. I went to one info session and I remembered holding back tears when the dr said diabetes would be eliminated. To make a long story short... July 16, 2012 was thee LAST day of me taking any diabetes medications. Praise God! Every once in a while I check my bgl. They tend to be in the 75-89 range. So I am super happy with my decision. The sleeve can reverse your situation. Some people don't completely come off their medications for a few weeks-months post op. But prayerfully you too will be able to come off those insulins shortly after your sleeve! Good luck to you~!!!

July Sleevers
I was sleeved July 17th. I too encountered the 3 week stall. It's awful. But my doctor allowed me to do full exercise on week 3 so I amped up my workout. I started jogging and i broke the stall. The only issue is during the "stall" you have to keep up your exercising or else you will stall again. And I'm talking like everyday. Learned that the hard way. Yesterday marked my 1 month sleeve-aversary and i was down 21lbs. Praying im down another .4 or so this AM. I've been working out ALOT!! So tired of this fat. Ugh. Hang in there & Good luck to you!

Getting That Vitamin Down
OMG Yes! I can't believe your swallowing a big ol vitamin. Sheesh. I take gummy vitamins. I thought I would have issues in the beginning with swallowing the gummy but I didn't. I would definitely recommend that you switch to gummy or chewable vitamins. Just chew chew chew before you swallow!

Work, Haters And Motivators
OMG some people just have no filter. I'm glad you replied to her like that. She's got a lot of nerve to even say something like that to you. Yes, anyone can loose weight with diet & exercise. However, sometimes diet and exercise alone is not sufficient. Everyone has their own individual choices for having WLS and to be quite honest you still have to exercise and eat right after surgery in order to maintain the weight and keep from having loose skin. This is the exact reason why I chose not to tell anyone (not even my family members) about my decision. Sometimes you just don't want to hear negative condescending rude smart a$$ remarks. It does you no good! Brush the haters off and keep striving for success! BAM~!!

Gallbladder Removed
oh My! Well I'm glad your doing well now. I am so afraid of that happening to me. The 17th marks my 1 month sleeve anniversary. I haven't had any pains yet and hopefully I won't.

Bras ?
The incision sits at the bra-line but in the middle of your breasts. Mine is almost perfectly centered lol. I didn't have an issue with my bra. However, once the incisions start to heel and the itching starts.... Whew! That's another story. Good Luck~!

Px90
P90X IS EXTREMELY INTENSE. I THINK YOU SHOULD TRY THE 10-MINUTE TRAINER FIRST. THE 10-MINUTE TRAINER WAS CREATED BY THE SAME PERSON (TONY HORTON) BUT IT'S A CONDENSED VERSION. START OFF SLOW THEN WORK YOUR WAY UP. I HAVE P90X BUT HAVEN'T DARED TO TRY IT YET. I KNOW I'M NOT PHYSICALLY READY. LOL.

When Did You Get The Ekg And Labs?
I had my EKG done a month prior to surgery. Depending upon your insurance company labs have to be done within 30days of the submittal. I made a mistake and got my labs done too early with my PCP thinking I could use those same labs and I couldn't So, I got stuck twice within a few weeks time span. Grrr!

Terrified
Oh my! What did the swallow test consist of and what is bile? Do you know what caused your leak?
-
Terrified
OMG how did you know you had a leak? Was it discovered right after surgery?

No Hair Loss?
Good question. I'd love to know the answer to this as well!

Bread...
Oh my! Well thanks for responding. That is why I'm so scared. Sometimes I have trouble eating chicken so I know I'm doomed if I try bread. But I must admit that I do miss it. Waah . Have you tried rice or pasta? I can't do pasta unless it's in a soup can. Otherwise it comes right back up !

Getting A Resistance Band..set
Absolutely! Just be careful that you don't snag yourself. Otherwise there are plenty of videos out there on how to work out with resistance bands you can even find them on your cable tv network. I am going to try resistance bands as well. Good luck to you!

Bread...
So, this is just a general inquiry so no-one get upset purrrrrrty please :D . But, I would like to know if anyone has tried eating a sandwich or any type of bread period. If so, did you have any trouble and how far out are you? As always, Thanks for your responses !!

Terrified
Did you loose 57lbs since the date of surgery or is that your combined WL throughout the pre & post op process? I haven't developed an eating disorder as stringent as yours but I definitely find myself not wanting to try new foods. I actually have difficulty with chicken depending upon how it's cooked and will often vomit if the food is not soft enough. Althought I don't mind vomitting, I don't want to make it a habit. If you get my drift. I think you can start off with safe foods like fish and what not. Just try foods that are soft and chew slowly. Hopefully this will help you. Take Care~!

Just Measured Myself! Wow!
