  3. Thank all, &Courtney, They just got me up to walk around. Not so great with the catheter, but it's ok. Still no need for morphine- thank God. I was a bit nauseated a couple of times, but they gave me some med and it dissipated. I thought the morphine might make me dizzy and sick, so I didn't take it and frankly, haven't needed to.
  4. Thanks guys. I wish I could sip. They won't let me have anything till tomorrow morn. Still have a catheter. Yuck.
  5. Hey y'all, I am out of surgery. Some sharp gas pains, but I haven't taken any pain meds so far. Will keep u posted.
  6. Ok, I am soooo nervous. Saying goodbye to my children is very emotional. I'm afraid I am going to get to the hospital and be crying the whole time! Anyway, I am off to the hospital. I will write when able. Prayers and good energy are appreciated.
  7. O my goodness. I am so sorry for your suffering, and I have no experience, so I offer no advice. Sorry. Just support. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Keep us updated if you can.
  8. Would love to hear some good news from you.
  9. Wheetsin, Wow, what an experience for you. So sorry for your pain. I hope that it is smooth sailing from here on out. Keep us posted.
  10. Oops, dang that autocorrect, should say sleeving not sleeping!
  11. Hey y'all, I've already said this elsewhere, but since this is our own little group, I will repeat that I am getting ready to kick off the April sleeping tomorrow morning at 8;00am. In Kuwait, Sunday is the first day of the week. Positive energy and prayers are most welcome! Best of luck to us all!
  12. Hey Chrissy, My husband is the same way, and I am basically alone in this. The way I look at it is that I have many habits and relationships with food that, while gratifying and soothing in the moment, are basically robbing me of a life of action and normalcy. It is hard to swallow (forgive the pun) that my life will drastically change because of an inability on my part, but without a drastic change, I know myself, and I would just live in inertia. I go in tomorrow morning. So here's to praying and hoping for a brighter future. Best to you!
  13. Congrats on your surgery! Hope all goes well for you. Let us know.
  14. Me too Jeni! I am up in two days. Wishing us all good surgeries, recoveries, and lives!
  15. I am April 1st. Right around the corner. Yikes!
  16. That is amazing! So glad to hear you are well. How do you feel? How are you adjusting?
  17. I have been feeling really blue lately too. I am two days away from surgery now. It could be aggravated by my TOM, so I am hoping it will lessen soon. I haven't really contemplated the loss of eating as much as just being apprehensive about the surgery and recovery. I think it is like hiking up a mountain. You have to keep your focus on the ground right at your feet. If you look ahead too much, you will become overwhelmed and feel lost or hopeless. We can all do it!
  18. That is awesome news Rayarbee, both the weight loss and the change in diet. Keep it up!
  19. So glad to hear you have an answer. I hope it is all good news for you from here on out!
  20. Lol MNBsleeve. You are sweet. I knew what you meant. Thank you all for giving me all of this good info. I am just trying to piece it all together to get some sort of imagery. I realize my story will probably not end up looking like the image I am creating, but it does help to have something to go on.
  21. Sorry, but that's funny, I just noticed that my post said "Irish you success"! Funny this iPad.
  22. Wow, that's great y'all are doing this together. Irish you both great success!
  23. I am so sorry you are having such a hard time. I hope that since they have located the problem, you are now on the mend. Please keep us updated. Thoughts and prayers with you!
  24. Hey Lissa, Yes, I am scheduled for surgery in 4 days. I hope I am like you and I won't want sweets like I do now, but I also hope I am able to get some foods down successfully. I guess I have the added issue of being a vegetarian. I am hoping tofu will be agreeable with me. Thanks!
