  1. Congrats to those sleeved, prayers and good wishes for those of us still waiting. I'm so excited to start this journey. Being sleeved in NC on the 25th.
  2. Opps just realized you were looking for an experienced buddy. I'm not sure five days ahead counts, lol. But would still love an email buddy for support.
  3. Hi there I'm looking for a buddy too. Recently moved to Raleigh from Portland area. I miss OR a lot. I have similar stats and am 39. Would love to email. I'm being sleeved the 25th. And mom of two girls with a super supportive husband too.
  4. Being sleeved the 25th. Live near Cary and looking for even just email support. How are you guys doing?
  5. Wow some got out crazy fast! Just moved from pdx and love that city so much!
  6. Sticking to my pre op diet, also self imposed. It does make it harder. Trying to work out and walk as much as possible before my surgery, it's almost time. I'm very excited. I'm praying I have success like so many of you all! Also nesting at home it feels similar to when u had the kids trying to prepare everything.
  7. Congrats you are doing great. I can't wait to join you soon!
  8. Wow 40 in a month! Way to go I bet you are feeling great! Very good point about the excess weight. I was hoping for forty in about two months. I have a total of about 70 to go. I hanger not had a pre op diet really just did out on my own since getting close to my date and have taken off about twenty so far. Thanks for the responses. I love this site. I've learned so much here!
  9. I can't seem to see the tickers so was curious. If you are comfortable what was your high weight, surgery weight and weight two months out? It seems like many lose about forty by two months. Is the loss much higher for higher bmi patients, I'm starting around 30 bmi by surgery date? Thanks!
  10. I'm just wondering how long everybody stayed in the hospital? My surgeon said it will probably be one night, but it seems like most stay two? How long did you stay?
  11. Congrats on the date. I had delays too and will be sleeved the same day, keep us posted.
  12. Such a nice post. I'm hoping for the same soon!
  13. Wishing you a speedy recovery and much success!
  14. I'm on the 25th. I'm very excited, but really haven't told many people. I guess I fear I will somehow fail once again. But I'm ready and hopeful for my future. Best wishes all!
  15. Love it, and all the same to you. I'm very excited for my journey. This site has been such a wonderful resource for me. I truly enjoy reading about everybodies victories and stories. I don't feel as alone with this struggle and love that so many here get it and have the same hopes and fears I do. Much love.
  16. Looks like it's either the 11th or 25th depends on the surgeon. I hope to find out very soon. As much as I really want it done now so the 11th would be faster, my dh is out of the country that day and with the kids and hospital being over an hour and a half away I guess I'm hoping for the 25th. I'm so ready to have this done, but realize it's for the rest of my life. Patience is something I need to work on.
  17. So sorry wishing you strength and good wishes.
  18. I think at Rex in Raliegh there are two hospital options. Best wishes on your journey.
  19. I had my consultation around November 14th and was approved yesterday hopefully surgery by the 28th.
  20. The same thing happened to me. It had to be faxed three times before they found it attached to another person's file. Then today I called twice to the office to schedule and nobody called back. Frustrated. But so thrilled to be approved. You have to stay on top of things more than I'm used to and nobody seems to feel the urgency I do, lol.
