  1. sounds tasty. I drink 2-3 sparkling waters daily. my sleevie has not and will not stretch from carbonation, Made goal at 8.5 months drinking these since 2 months out.
  2. I have had an iced latte everyday since 3 weeks post op.
  3. I felt this way until about 3.5- 4 months out. it gets better!! those months are when I lost the majority of my weight so it was well worth it!
  4. only regret is not doing this when I was 22!!!
  5. This is a short term feeling. You will not feel like this forever. Its a sacrifice you make for about 3 months. it will be so worth it! It gets better and you will feel fairly normal again. A new normal! I do recommend talking to a psychologist as well. It helps. Glad you are reaching out.
  6. I am 170 and a size 10-12 At 255 I was a 20-22. Huge thunder thighs. Hehehe
  7. I really feel this way. I always saw myself at about 200lbs when I actually was 255lbs....denial?? and now I STILL see 200lbs and I am 170lbs..... very odd!!
  8. Does anyone take this? Or know anything about it?? I am trying to lose 10 more pounds and I was told this would be very helpful!
  9. the pre-op diet is soooo hard!
  10. Thank you for posting, it is interesting to hear from veteran sleevers. Congrats on your PA, I am finally an RN after being an LPN for 8 years, next stop NP! You should still be proud about weighing 90 pounds less than your heaviest weight! And that's after pregnancies!
  11. I am 29, and do not have saggy skin, my breasts did go from a DD to a C however. They are not saggy, they still have a little perk to them. Your age is on your side for sure! Like I always tell the newbies.... best decision I have ever made!
  12. I craved pickles like crazy post op, and starting about 4 weeks out I would kind of chew off the inside of the spears a little. Just the soft inside-- so good kept me sane. I eat pickles all the time now. Low cal and Delicious-- salty yes.
  13. I would guess your swelling is going down. My doc says you are not completely healed until 6-8 weeks out. Sounds like you are doing well!
  14. have you tried milk of magnesia?
  15. I agree 100% I had one- sex drive went to zero! I have the copper iud now- we'll see how it goes!
  16. oh and I forgot to mention that I think you will feel great about getting the skin taken care of! I say go for it!
  17. Lissa: my goal weight was set a bit higher than some too. I am a fan it for the following reasons: 1.) easier to maintain 2.) LESS loose skin- or none like me ( I know I am lucky) 3.) less chance for regain per my surgeon 4.) keep your curves! :-) and if you like the way you look, and feel good and are healthy then it sounds like you are going to be joining us in maintenance very soon!
  18. Don't freak out! if you see 153 then go back to basics and get back to the 140s. You are in control of maintenance! you can do this
  19. sadly 95% of people gain their weight back within 3 years of weight loss (with out weight loss surgery) I had the same thoughts as you! you will not feel ashamed when you look and feel great!
  20. I ate 1200-1600 cals per day at that point too. I am maintaining at 1800-2000 a day. I just have to keep my cals there and not keep increasing-- that's the key! Maintaining for 3+ months now. I do stay active but don't "work out"
  21. seriously it took at least 50 pounds! sad I know!
  22. completely normal! no worries you will lose more weight!
  23. I giggled when I read the title! lol I felt like a jiggler as well for a while. My skin bounced back nicely after the rapid weight loss phase. I no longer jiggle like a Jello jiggler. I am no Jessica Alba, but I look pretty normal. This started happening 8-9 months out. I am almost a year out.....
  24. It will get better every week! I couldn't do artificial sweetners either. I watered down juice- 1/4 water, 3/4 juice. Just until my taste buds came back!
  25. I can only speak for myself but I made goal with this philosophy. I do focus on protien and veggies but if I want a treat or want what my bf is eating I have a little.
