LONG STALL??? or worst fear true??
Yeah the mental and emotional side of this is intense. You have us as support but do you know if there's a local support group you can attend? The scales will move, just sometimes not when we want or need it to the most. Try on some different sizes to see the changes. Most likely you're still losing inches. We're all so used to diets failing, and on top of that you were a Bander. So your understandably skeptical that this is going to work. Believe in yourself and believe in the sleeve!! Kelly

Thinking of Cancelling
You are not alone, I'm scared too. But not having the surgery scares me even more. I wasn't diabetic when I first started researching WLS. I am now. I feel like I don't really have a choice where my health is concerned. This is kinda like my last hope in saving my life. But I do understand where you're coming from. Good luck! Kelly

LONG STALL??? or worst fear true??
You are in the dreaded 3 wk stall and even though we all read it here constantly, it seems we're still not prepared for it. It really plays with our minds. Dont stress out too much and try to distract yourself from watching the scales so closely. When you say you are feeling bad, what exactly do you mean? Tired and no energy? Pain? I hope you feel more like yourself soon. Keep getting the fluid and protein in, you're gonna do fine! Kelly

Has anyone had plastic surgery in Mexico?
I agree with Sauceda in Monterrey. I've been seeing his name for yrs now on OH and have researched him myself. Seems good and very reasonably priced and highly recommended by his patients and other surgeons. Kelly

What Can I eat at the movie theater?
For $ reasons, I too have skipped refreshments at the movies and ate cheaper before or after. But if you can't manage that for some reason, then bottled water or your choice of no cal bottled drink, and as others have said, peanuts, protein bar, cashews, almonds, beef jerky, slim jim, pork skins, string cheese, etc. This would all depend how far post-op you are too. pre op LIQUIED DIET IS DRIVING ME CRAZY
I know it's got to be really rough, especially smelling it on top of watching them eat. Can you go somewhere else? Maybe walking while you sip on a protein shake or broth? Sit in your car or a different room from them and read? Window shopping and making future plans of all the great smaller size clothes you will be in soon. Anything that can make you feel less deprived. Focus on why you're doing this. Keep your eye on the prize you are doing great!!! Kelly

QUESTION: My surgeon has done 36 sleeves
In the US, not a lot of surgeons do the sleeve or have done that many. I would find out the complication/mortality rate of the dr, not just with the sleeve but their other wls. If they have done hundreds or thousands of others with little complications and/or deaths related to surgical error, then you will most likely be fine. The RNY is a much more invasive procedure, with staples and rerouting of the intestines. If they have a good reputation doing those I would say they are a skilled surgeon. But regardless, you have to feel comfortable with your surgeon. Good luck! Kelly
