  1. we were lucky that the psychologist was just down the hall from our doctor. She was very nice and easy to talk to. I appreciated her professionalism and demeanor. It is a very fine line between a professional clinical environment and feeling like a bug under glass.
  2. Good for you for making the decision. Becareful not to over do it with the Sauna so soon after having surgery. I wish you all the best on your journey to find a healthier you!
  3. Thank you so much Sparkle!! Dr. Podkameni was very easy to talk to and willing to answer all of my questions. He uses a 40 oz bougie. He also oversews on the staples and has 0% leakage. It was really helpful to have these questions, I realized when reading them that I had wanted to ask several of them but in the month between weigh-ins they slipped my mind. Oh I also found out that I will get to speak to the Anethesiologist 2 1/2 weeks before the surgery. I am going to talk to him/her about using a smaller tube if possible to lessen the amount of friction on my vocal cords.
  4. I have my second to last weigh in tomorrow morning. I have few basic questions... are they any questions you wish you would have asked before surgery?
  5. Keep up the good fight! :thumbup1: Too bad we don't get credit for running around the Borian Tundra! ROFL
  6. Go WOW!! hehe I have a 76 Mage on Garona. :thumbup1: hehah My husband has a level 80 hunter. We usually turn it off during the semester as questing is more fun than homework hehah. The new dungeon system is pretty nice. Cataclysm looks brutal and fun... Just wish you could be a Worgen Pally. LOL :svengo:
  7. Hang in there Will! I understand how you feel 100%. It can be really hard when so much of our society focuses on looks. I am cheering for you! :thumbup1:
  8. It is very heartening and encouraging to see nurses posting on this site about your own experiences. As a future patient it is nice to know you are out there pulling for us.
  9. Awesome! Thank you for sharing this information, I will file it away for after my surgery.
  10. Congratulations!! I hope to be in your shoes someday! :thumbup1:
  11. I agree with Tiffykins sometimes caffeine can be too much of a yummy thing... hope things get better for you. Stress can also be a factor... so if you are worried about it sometimes that can also add to the end result.
  12. Thinking of you and hoping you are doing well with your recovery. This is a huge step in your life and I admire your courage for doing it. : )
  13. Glad to hear you are both feeling good and your surgery is finished. Please keep us posted on how you are feeling and how you are doing. :biggrin0: It is wonderful to have a support network like this forum. :drool5:
  14. I have read several articles about Deborah Voight. She is one of the most famous opera singers in the world. She had a gastric bypass. I do not know her personally hehaha so asking her how it went is probably out of the question. If you know of anyone local I would appreciate the info. :biggrin0:
  15. Glad to hear all is well and you are on the road to recovery! :biggrin0:
  16. Glad to hear you are feeling better. Wishing you some uninterrupted rest. :biggrin0:
  17. have you noticed any changes with your voice? I am an opera singer and I am starting to get more job offers. After 20 years of study, I am nervous about the effects of the surgery vocally. My surgeon has never operated on a singer. If you know of one who has can you give me their contact information?
  18. not to be paranoid but has anyone had problems with too much weightloss? and if so how did you rebound?
  19. Good luck!! I will send you healing thoughts. Please log on when you can and give us an update on how you are.
  20. If you care about him tell him. He will feel better knowing you are OK and not worried that your eating is a warning sign of a larger problem like anorexia... If anything it shows that he cares because he is asking you about it. : ) I hope that your relationship becomes something wonderful. I love my husband and I consider myself very lucky.. a strong relationship begins with communication and kindness. (the rest is just frosting)
  21. I will keep you in my thoughts. Sending healing and love.
  22. it is nice to see that something spicy is still OK.. that is one of my biggest fears. I love spicy food and don't think I could give it up entirely... :001_tongue:
