  1. Congrats! It will be here before you know it!
  2. Now you see why I said every doctor has different rules! I hope you remember to ask yours, and come back and tell us what he tells you!
  3. Welcome to bandland! Walking helped me pass the gas more than anything else did. Some people swear by Gas-X, but I don't think it helped me much. Try walking as much as you are able to, see if you don't feel a little better.
  4. Definately looks like a bear to me! Now, that is just a little too close for comfort!
  5. Welcome Ruthie! Who is your doctor? We have several people here with doctors from Mexico. Good luck and keep us posted!
  6. I used the CIB too, and I really like it, I just fix it like hot chocolate and it tastes yummy!
  7. Every doctor has their own rules, but I always eat before my fill. I usually try to keep my lunch lite if my appointment is close to lunchtime though. If not, I eat a normal lunch. Is there a nurse or anyone at the office that you can check with?
  8. What a terrible experience you had! I think I would talk to your doctor and find out why they didn't try the larger band with you. Good luck!
  9. My doctor told me the same thing, after 20 minutes the food starts going through the band and you are eating too much.
  10. Happy Memorial Day! We have already been out of town, went to the graduation in Louisana. Today I am playing catch up, on work, and rest!
  11. Great job Leo! I agree, post those pictures!
  12. Congradulations! Everything happens for a reason, and you come out with more than one good thing!
  13. Welcome to bandland Jim! It only gets better with each day!
  14. Welcome to bandland! I'm happy to hear you are doing so good! Remember to do a little walking and sip, sip, sip that water!
  15. Good Luck Mary! I'll be thinking about you!
  16. Great news! You will do fine, you have wanted this long enough, so that alone will help you along.
  17. What time is your surgery tomorrow? Be sure to post and let us know how you are doing when you can. We'll let you experiment with the recipes, and if you find a good one, maybe you can post it for all of us
  18. ROFLMAO! Mine cut their hair, but I never heard of the eyebrows before! Yes, please post a picture!
  19. Congradulations! It will be here before you know it. You will have all kinds of feelings between now and the surgery, but it is normal.
  20. Awwww, I know it is always awful to have to have surgery. I am glad you are staying busy! I had my gallbladder out in 92 and I was in the door of the hospital and home in 7 hours. I was the first patient that hospital let go home the same day. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, just really sore for a while. Maybe you can go shopping and stay busy that way. Or, just keep coming on her and talking all the time.

I have roses outside in the yard, but none in the house. These rose petals were dried and very crisp, so they didn't come off my roses. It is such a weird thing, but I just know it was my Mom!
  22. I went through this for 8 months! I couldn't walk without help. I can tell you as you lose weight it will ease up. I never had to have the surgery to fix the problem because I lost weight that took the pressure off. It was the one time I was glad I was overweight. When it happens to a thin person, they have no choice, but a fat person can lose weight and take the pressure off. Good Luck!
  23. I almost had it done 5 years ago, and then I thought do I want this on me when I am old with white hair. I changed my mind when I thought about it being forever.
