February's Chat
Hey everyone! I have been taking it easy today, my ears are driving me nuts! They hurt so bad, and I can't hear very well. I hope they are better tomorrow, I have a 10:00 interview! Cindy - I used to hunt, so I can shoot a gun really good. I think it is a great thing to know today. You had some great scores! Eileen - Sorry to hear about you MIL, keeping her in my prayers. Keep us posted. Sherry - My cooking is probably what's holding on to those 8 pounds! That and no exercising lately! I watch the food network too, I like Paula's home cooking, 30 minutes, and a few of the others. Patty - I hope your son is feeling lots better! Doc - I hope you are feeling better too! Dianne - Keep an eye on that redness, if it gets worse be sure and call the doctor. Well, I am going to go lay back down, hello to all of you that haven't posted or I missed. Later!

February's Chat
Good Afternoon! It's overcast and raining here in Texas today, boy we need the rain so I won't gripe, but I sure would like it better if it was during the week!:biggrin1: I feel like all I have done today is cook and eat! Breakfast, then I made a big pot of butternut squash soup (yum) and then I cooked up some crawfish cakes, then I put a roast in the oven. I have closed the kitchen till supper now! Eileen - I hate it when I write something down on two different dates! I just know they think I am a looney! Glad to hear you have some restriction, I hope it stays that way for you. The last few weeks I feel like I really need a fill, I feel like I eat too much! It's going to have to wait for a while though. Doc - Just be happy you have some restriction for now, when things get healed up sometimes it goes away. We have had a few people that didn't have to get fills for a long time though. I didn't have any trouble with salads, but maybe the carrots didn't get small enough for you. Or, maybe you just took a few bites too many. You'll get the hang of it, it really is trial and error. Dianne - Glad you are home and beginning the healing up process. Now, tuck thee self in bed and rest up! You have put that body through enough right now!:scared: Beanie - I envy you having a DH that cooks! That sounds yummy! Heck, if I put a 6 month deadline to my DH projects, nothing would get done, it takes him that long to think about it! Then there's the I'm fixin to! I'm the impatient one, I like it all done yesterday! What kind of Indian on your Mom's side? Mine is Cherokee.

Wine?
I drink wine too, I don't have a problem with it. I don't know if I would want to drink 800 calories worth every night though.:biggrin1:

why is YOUR nose bent out of shape?
Awww, Cheri aren't you just too sweet! I always loved your picture, I bet you are the fun of the party!:biggrin1: Gosh, I never check my spelling or grammer out before I post it. I have been cutting my sentences short for a long time, I really don't have the extra time to check it all out. I don't look down on someone if they use the improper english either, I know what they are trying to say, and that is what is important! So, if you don't like my english/grammer/spelling, just skip my posts!:scared: We also have to remember that everyone on this board doen't have the same education. Hmmmmmm...... Groupies - I think everyone feels a little bit like you do when they first start, I know I did. Like Paula said, you just have to step up to the plate a little more and make yourself known. It's not that we are ignoring anyone, sometimes it's the wording of the thread that keeps people from opening or sometimes we just are in a hurry and read the main threads we are interested in. Just jump in on the threads and start posting! You'll get everyone's attention doing that, and we'll get to know you a little bit better in the process! :D

Can you have extract (i.e. vanilla) directly post-op?
I used it some flavoring my protein drinks. It didn't hurt me, but I always say when in doubt ask your doctor's office.

Gall bladder has got to go....
I think a few of our bandsters had theirs out when they got the lapband put in. Just think of it this way, better to do it during the surgery than to have to go back afterwards. Good Luck!

Getting it off my chest...
Awww Kelli, it sounds like you have a whole lot of stress right now and more than likely that is causing most of your problems. Quitting smoking is hard enough without all the other concerns. Do you use or take anything to help you with the smoking? Perhaps the patch would help some.

February's Chat
Hi Y'all~ What a day! I have been having trouble with my ears for a few weeks, had some meds took them for a while, then just thought it would take it's course. Last night they kept me up most of the night! Well a few years ago I went to a specialist over in Irving but I couldn't remember his name. He was really good, so I thought I would just drive over there and see him. Well, he moved or closed or something. So, I came back home, looked in the phone book saw a place here in town so I drove up there, only to find them closed up too! So, I ended up going up to Care now, and sat for 2 hours. I usually avoid them because of the price they charge, but I ended up only paying $35.00~ I thought why didn't I do this earlier. Well, he gave me two prescriptions, so I took them to the drug store, told them I wanted to wait for them. I went to get them when they were done and with my insurance it was $185.00! I almost fell over! All that and it took me 6 hours to get it done! UGH! It has to get better right?:biggrin1: Eileen - I went to college 17 years after graduating, so I know what you mean! I carried a full 8 hour day and it was the toughest thing I ever did! Everything had changed, I had to go get some books to understand the language terms! Doc - I am part Irish! I usually fix the corn beef on St. Pat's too! Glad you are feeling so much better about the boards! Hugs! Cindy - Hope you are feeling a little better! By the way I don't walk in the rain, I would melt! Kelly - Glad you are feeling better today! I hate those bad days! Trish - Hey girl, I know how hard that studying is! When I went back they believed you had to have at least 3 hours of homework in each subject! Pat - We have a gal that goes with the boy across the street. She is a tiny thing too, she just had a boob job done and she went to a D, I thought she would look all out of porportion but she doesn't. She showed me them and look fantastic! Oh to be that young again! She is a sweetheart! Most of the ones I have seen looked like they had a boob job, but hers you can't even tell! Taxes, I still have to do ours! Hello to y'all that haven't posted, I have to go get some of that gold put in my ears!:heh: :heh: :heh:
-
Hey Paula!
Nope, I don't suck the heads! They say it is really good, but I just can't bring myself to even try it! Paula - Yes, Yes, Yes, I would love some recipes! Yeah I bought them frozen! I like them better in a big boil with the corn and all, but heck I just love them any way you fix them. It's getting close to them being in season, and I can't wait!
