I am very proud of Brittney. She is in the 11th. grade. Just one more year then off to college. Her hypotheses was " Ivory soap is the only soap that floats. She took a bar of Ivory soap and 4 other name brand bars of soap and put them in Water. The Ivory soap was the only one that floated. Then she put the bars of soap in the micowave for 45 seconds. The 4 name brand soaps just melted a little bit. When she put the Ivory soap in the micowave it blew up and looked like whip-cream. It filled the whole micowave up. I'm not science smart like she is, but the best I can explain it to you is that It's to do with the Charles law and that she figured out that when they make Ivory soap they whip air in it.

I will let you all know how she does at the State comp. next Thursday.

Thanks for all your kind words.
