:sad0:I have a horrible day today. i woke up not feeling good. went to work and ate some breakfast and within 10 min of eating it all came up. i tried so hard to not throw up all of it. i was so upset because i had to ask one of the nurses to help me. then all day my tummy was just turning. they asked me if i needed to go home but i couldn't afford to go home with me just coming back from surgery leave. i really wanted to come home but couldn't. i hope everyone else had a good day. i pray that no one felt like i did. thanks for reading this and replying cause i really need it. you guys are such great people. i will have to admit though i felt good enough this evening to go to my aerobics class that was scheduled, because i didn't want to miss a day. i love it so much.
  2. i am cold all of the time. i stay in a jacket, socks, blankets, 72 degrees on the thermostat. when i go out now i have two coats, scarf and gloves. i have never worn this many clothes in all of my life. crazyyyyyyyyyy. i don't understand it!!!

those spin classes look and sound like the devil his self. when i am doing to eliptical i hear the instructor yelling at those people spinning and I think why would you put yourself through that. there is a class that i wanted to start on monday but i never called because i didn't know how much it would cost and who the instructor would be. well good look building your stamina back up. you are a true inspration to me.
  4. what kinds of sides do you eat with your meat early on. i am getting so tired of the same old thing. please help... the tilapia with parmesan cheese sounds really good.
  5. Hey Rachel, it is getting to where at most meals I can eat anywhere from 4-6 oz of food at a meal now. like tonight I ate 2 oz of cube steak, with about 3 oz of different veggies. It is getting easier other than trying to find something to drink that really taste good and most meals I have no idea what to eat. I am getting so down and tonight I was talking to my husband and started crying. I haven't cried since my surgery. He had the RNY done on the 28th of Dec and has no problems with foods. He is already on soft foods and our Doctor is great with it. Mostly he still eats alot of muchie stuff but he can eat stuff that would really hurt me. He drinks so much better than me also and that is very frustrating. he also wants me to stop reading all of this negative stuff on the internet about people losing the weight and then regaining it. i don't know he just thinks i am getting way too down.
  6. congrats joan. way to go! keep up the great work. keep working that sleeve..

sounds like you are trying to do everything right. way to go re: the gym. you are such an inspiration to me..
  8. cajun- did you have to start all over again with mushies? i know i am still having problems with muching on stuff i shouldn't be. especially at work. those girls have chips, cakes, bagels, and all kinds of junk. i don't have any of the bad of stuff at the house but work is awful.
  9. i am so sorry you girls are going through this. i am so glad that i had a hysterectomy 6 years ago so i don't have to go through cramps at the same time. lol
  10. oh and i also want that recipe. that sounds good. i need more ideas of things to take to work that i can eat.
  11. good for you rachel. i am glad you called her to talk about the foods you should eat. i am going to call my nutritionist to ask questions about carbs and cals. i am stressing so much about that and i don't want too. the scale started moving this am. i had lost just 1 more pound. so hope fully it will start again. i am hitting the gym pretty hard. i have been going everyday this week. i usually try to do cardio 5 days a week and strength training 3 days a week. that is what i want to get in habit of doing. i think working out makes a huge difference in weight loss. i wish we lived closer to each other. what is your age? i am 39 and have been heavy since 92 right after i got married. well talk later and hope your scale starts moving for you. lol laura

deedee. you have done so good girl. that is amazing. i am not looking forward to the skin thing either but the alternative is not where i want to be either.
  13. my weight hasn't budged either in at least 1 1/2 weeks. don't really understand why it is not moving either. which type of milk are you using? try putting only half of the yogurt in the smoothie. are you putting yogurt and fruit in the shake? are you able to eat fresh fruit right now?
  14. also rachel i want to ask a question about your protein shakes. do they equal 200 cal with protein and milk? mine are: protein 96 cal and 1% milk for 4oz is 48 cal.
  15. rachel- are you using the fitday.com website that lets you key in everything you have eaten for the day and a good way for you to keep up with it. you could also print this out and take it to your nutritionist for you guys to sit down and take a look at what you are eating.
  16. girl you look good and you know did you measure yourself before surgery? the scale is just a number! i know i didn't measure and i wish that i had because i am getting slimmer in different parts of my body that i know have not seen in years. like my hips, thighs, buttocks, the rolls on my back are gone, and my breasts. lets not even talk about my breasts. they are going flat!!! we all wish for different things and i know my wish would be to be like i was when i was 18 but that is not the life that i have lived for 20 years. like my doctor told my husband the day he had surgery-he can help us loose the weight but he can't make us be like a beautifull model! just remember that. take it one day at a time.
  17. my doc wanted me to be getting around 600-800 cals a day but by the time I go back to see him on jan 21st he wants me up to 1000 cal per day. i just can't seem to get there with everything i am eating. like today i got around 723cals today. and only 36g. of carbs.
  18. :confused1:how do you get more cals in so the weight will start coming off again. I am stuck at 242 for the past 5 days. I don't like getting stuck like this! I really need to up my cals before the 21st or my doc will get on to me. I plug in all of my cals for the day and I have been staying around 750-780 just about everyday. Also when you up the cals you eat do your carbs not go up too. Need help figuring all of this out. So confused with all of this nutritional guide.
  19. i was pretty much the same way. sleeved on a tues morning and then didn't go until that saturday. had stomach cramps, sweets and finally went. i did put some miralax in my protein shake for two days and then i finally went. now i go just about every other day. i am about 3 weeks 4 days out. i do believe bowel movements help with weight loss. so i think we need to be having bm's at least every other day. keep hydrated and walking. lol
  20. congrats judy for joining all of the sleevers. it is a great club to be in. hope you have a great time losing and enjoying these forums.
  21. frank, i am so glad that you are doing so good. also glad your health is getting better about the slow bladder from waking up. can't wait to see your post.
  22. i don't do liquids very well so i take a multi vitamin from gnc, pepcid-for calcium, b12-sublingual. that is all i take right now until my 6 weeks post op visit.
  23. wow kermit, what a weight loss you have had. i am three weeks out and just now hit 24#. you are really working this sleeve. you go girl. do you like refried beans and cheese? that is a good mushy food to eat. i also like the amp brand chocalte protein powder. it is so fine and easy to mix. good luck at gym and try drinking a sf carnation instant breakfast with milk. that may help you at gym. e-mail me at how you do. lol, laura
  24. congrats to all of you. you go girls. monday i weighed 245 and this morning it was 244. i can't believe how the weight just falls off of you. before surgery i was squeezing myself into a 3xl or blue scrubs and tonight i thought i would put on my 2xl that i wore last summer08. i could not believe it they fit and still look like a bunch of people have moved out of my waist, butt, hips and legs. where oh where is weight going!!! i really don't understand how all of this works. again congrats to you guys weight loss keep it up and thanks for the measurement tip steph
  25. the only problem with the sugar ones is that you might have some dumping. we are not suppose to as bad as a rny patient, but we can if we eat or drink too much sugar products. see if you can take the ones back that you bought at cvs and get the ones from gnc. they will be better for you because they have 40 g. in one bottle. they have at 6 flavors. you can also buy online at bariatriceating.com hope this helps you and i know it is very discouraging when you buy something thinking you are doing good to only need something else. you really don't want to have to do more of that drink to get 40 grams of protein in the first few days. it is hard enough to try to get it all in without having to do more. the isopure from gnc is 20 ounces i believe. well again hope this helps..
