  1. This is what happens to me when I eat: When I get toward the last couple spoonful's on my little plate I eat extremely slow and I can pretty much tell when it is going to happen. I love getting hiccups, it's my sign that I have had enough!!! Sometimes I can even put those last couple bites in the garbage. Listen to your body and you will do great!!!
  2. May 15, 2013 Band Surgery Date! I started this journey in Oct, 2012 on WW and had some success (35 lbs) but not enough to be as healthy as I want to be. I will get the last 50 lbs off banded and keep it off!!!
  3. Jean, thank you for taking the time to share this much needed information with all of us!
  4. My hubby of 34 years knows that I get on this site to gain knowledge from long time banders. I thank and appreciate every post and blog that helps keep me in check with reality. To do this alone would not be as rewarding as reading other peoples post or looking at the success pictures. I love this site!!! No, he does not get on this site but if he ever wanted to I would have no problem with it. He is fortunite to have never had weight issues. Thanks for everyone taking the time to help new banders, you all have helped me tremendously!!!
  5. Congrats, makes me smile!
  6. You look fantastic!!!! Your hard work sure paid off!!! Congrats to you
  7. It took me 3 weeks after surgery before I could sleep comfortably on my stomach and now I have no problem at all.
  8. Hang in there, it really does get better!! I had 3 hard weeks post op but now I am 6 weeks and I feel great and so will you

  10. how many weeks after surgery can we get in chlorine?
  11. I asked when I went to get my first fill (6/12/13) and was told "never again". From what I have read on this board some dr's say it is ok so you might have to ask yours when you go for follow up visit.
  12. That is fantastic!!! A person who has never had weight issues could not understand the feeling of pride you must be feeling!!! For us that have had weight issues think that a medium is awesome!!!!! Congrats
  13. WOW, that is fantastic!!! Congrats to you on all your hard work, happy for you
  14. My surgery was 5/15 and I had my first fill on 6/12 and not scheduled till 7/3 for my second fill. I was told no core exercises for 60 days after surgery. I do walk, work my arms and inner/outer thighs for toning. No weights at this time but maybe I will be allowed very soon
  15. I went for my first fill/unfill yesterday. I had to first have a unfill for measurement. My file said the Doc put in 3.8 cc's at surgery but after unfill yesterday I actually had 4 cc's. I now have 4.5 cc's and go back in 3 weeks for next fill if needed. I was told liquid for 24 hours then soft for 24 hours. I have no appitite at all. I hope this feeling sticks around for a long time. Good luck!
  16. Ditto to what Steph04 wrote I also weigh myself first thing in the morning to avoid any added Water weight.
  17. My surgery was 5/15 and I go for my follow up appointment and first fill on 6/12. The skin glue is still on all my stitches and I was wandering if it will come off on it's own or do we help it when it starts to get dried out and lifting from the skin? Should I leave it alone till I go this Wed for follow up?
  18. Congrats!!! I love it when the #'s keep heading SOUTH
  19. Don't get disappointed if you don't feel a lot better in a week. I am 3 weeks post surgery and I can say I now feel great! Give it at least 2 weeks. Your body is in shock and will take time to heal. Hang in there, we all went through it and can tell you each new day will be a better day.
  20. Congrats to you for all your hard work, now go shopping and buy something smaller
  21. Wishing you the best results in your new journey! Remember to walk, walk and then walk some more when you get home!!!
