Question about exercise

I had surgery 5/21/13 - feeling great and want to start working out. I don't see my surgeon again until 7/5. My question is when is it ok to start working out and do you think using the Ab Circle Pro machine would be ok?

You have a long time between appointments. I would suggest a phone call to your surgeon's office. I am not familiar with that machine. I was restricted to tread mill or walking for 6 weeks. Seeing ab in it tells me probably not! My surgeon made me stay away from that type of machine for awhile. Best of luck, Karen

I'm with Karen on this one. Best to call your doctor & ask. But my thought is that it's too soon for that type of exercise. But as with everything else in bariatric surgery, all doctors have their own protocol.

My surgery was 5/15 and I had my first fill on 6/12 and not scheduled till 7/3 for my second fill. I was told no core exercises for 60 days after surgery. I do walk, work my arms and inner/outer thighs for toning. No weights at this time but maybe I will be allowed very soon :)

Ab machine would be the LAST exercise I would start back up. I started exercising in general about two weeks after surgery. I'd recommend cardio first then work in weight training.

I think you have to be cleared by your doctor first. I'd call and ask.
