  2. Had a fill yesterday and this is the first time that I can't even get Clear liquids down, I mean some gets down but not much. It's only day two since fill but I'm not so sure I can start to eat food again, it is just swelling or am I too tight?.....help would be appreciated.
  3. Over half the companies on this list no longer offer free samples, I contacted them all today and the half that replied back to me said no

  6. Grrr - ok didn't so it right. Help! lol
  7. I've lost a total of 52 pounds pre-op and post-op.....here's my progress. Hope the pic uploads lol.
  8. I think this last fill I got is too much. I'm at the point now where I don't enjoy eating, I dread it because it's going to get stuck no matter how long I chew and how long I wait in between bites. I was getting all upset saying what did I do to myself and I can't keep going like this, I was regretting the band all together. I'm going to have him take some fluid out, I'm just too tight.
  9. That's fantastic!! I had 2cc just put in two weeks ago for a total of 4.4 and I feel the same way, loving it! Enjoy
  10. I have the same problem.....do they make protein pills??

  12. Mine said ONCE in a while - not daily like I was before the band. If you tell me I can't have something ever again it's not going to work, everything in moderation.
  13. My PA said the same thing, some people don't have any fluid in their band and are in the green zone where others have 9-10cc in their bands before they feel like they are in the green zone. Depends on the person I guess.
  14. I was trying to joke about the situation with the PA, I said"I don't know who's more embarrassed - you for not being able to find it or me having a handsome PA poke at my fat." He got a chuckle. When I'm nervous I make jokes, can't help it lol.
  15. What a painful experience that was - the PA couldn't seem to get my port in the right position, he poked me and was pushing on me until eventually he had to call someone else in! Finally after 20 minutes of probing they got it - 2 cc's put in. Hope that's all I need (have 4.4 total) so I don't have to go through that again. I asked him about drinking soda, my most difficult thing to give up, and he said once in a while is ok. I'm ok with that! Excited to see what a difference this 2cc will make
  16. My doctor never really gave me a visual on the size of the bite, he just said small bites and chew chew chew. Looking at the size of the bite you posted I know I am taking much bigger bites and now I'm freaked out. I have an appt tomorrow and this is what I will be discussing. I've only had one fill, still technically in bandster hell, so don't really feel any restriction whatsoever. I can basically eat like I was before - is this normal??
  17. I was banded 5/21 and have a soda occasionally without a problem. I was hesitant to try for the first time based on what people have posted here but it went down smooth and didn't have any discomfort.
  18. You're not alone - I can't wait to use this tool as it's supposed to be used. Right now I'm working solely on will power and it's tough! I don't have will power that's why I needed help. I'm trying to be patient but it's hard, I'm counting down the days until my next fill lol. Good luck!
  19. I, too, can eat pretty much anything without feeling restriction. I've felt full but nothing that made it too uncomfortable. I just chew really well, when I think it's good enough I chew it more lol. I do struggle with not drinking while eating.....that part is soooo hard.
  20. Congrats keep up the good work!! I haven't told any of my friends, just family. It's a personal choice, I get it
  21. Had surgery about 7 weeks ago - mother of two and full time nursing student
  22. The PA removed mine at my first post op visit since they didn't fall off on their own.
