How long should i wait?

I am 3 weeks post op do y'all think it would be ok to go swimming?

    Usually your doc will tell you. Off the top of my head I want to say four weeks.

    You'll have to ask your doctor. It depends on how well your incisions are healed.

  • I was told by my doctor to wait four to six weeks. Like the other posters said, it does depend on your healing though.

Same here I was told 4 to 6 weeks and at that he wanted to let the steri strips fall off on their own.

I had to wait 6 weeks ^_^

I went swimming during my second week. Enjoy!!!

Good question! I have a pool but did not think of asking my doctor when I can go for a swim. I'm three weeks pos- op by the way. I guess I could ask him next Monday.

I went today and everything was okay. I tried calling my doctor but no one picked up :/
