Poll- Pg when did you get unfilled?
I have just found out that I am having twins... My restriction (jamie summers I like to call her) has gone on vacation... I can eat and eat and eat... so I am not planning an unfill unless that changes... If it does the little ones come first... those of you who know me this has been a long time and coming (tired for 6 years.) I can't wait until I am a little further and start to show... wow is that me wanting to look fat... YEP!

Anyone have trouble after flying?
YEP I have had that happen to me many times... I thought I was the only one... since I have to fly often I have only had two fills... its a great time to go on liquids and drop a few lbs...lol
-
Are you glad you did it?
I guess I am what you would call a long termer... YES I would do it again. I love it and even though I have not yet reached goal...mostly because it is easier to just live with the 20 I have left to loose... I absolutly think it was the right choice for me.

Refried Beans...why not??
Do youreally think 45lbs is a slow loss... wow you have high expectations... I think you are doing great. I did not have a lot of discussions with my doctor after the surgery about what to eat. I ate what I was compy with. If the beans are not giving you gas or problems I say why not. But I am a rebel... so take what you will from me.

Would you go through this for 45 lbs??
I think that we all have our goal, wants and needs... to each it is a different road. I have never had an issue with the bad... I feel so sorry for you. Have you tried going on a liquid diet for a bit to calm your stomic? I know that when I fly my band feels like I have had a fill. (I am very sensitive to changs in the environment) One of the reasons why I have only had two fills. So good luck and I am sorry that you are having issues.

Going on three years!!! Thoughts and Reflections
well it seems as if many of you are in the same boat as me... it is good to know that I am not alone. It is funny how our reflection in the mirror is never quite what we want and yet to others its is a huge accomplishment. That is why I love this forum. When ever I begin to stumble and question there are those of you who know exactly what to say...I am blessed to be part of this group...

Going on three years!!! Thoughts and Reflections
Thank You for the complement! Yes I can remember when I was worried about how much weight I should loose and how fast it should come off. I can remember working out like a feind... That stress however has been long gone. And may I say Looser28 you have a georgous face... no wonder you hubby lose you..who wouldn't? PaulaX yeah I think I will hover around this weight... for the longest I never thought I would ever see it. I am glad that you all see me a success. I needed to hear that.

Going on three years!!! Thoughts and Reflections
Thanks... I do feel great... I guess its when I look at all the expence I paid for getting it done, well I just dont want to say I quit because it was easy to get this far and now I don't want to work for the rest. My doctor for weightloss was in MX and my regular doctor says that I am fine. No more Knee problems and the asthma is gone... so I guess I am okay...

Would you go through this for 45 lbs??
I think I uderstand what you are saying that this should be for someone who needs it drastically. But what if that person sees it differently and has another experience than you. I have been filled twice and rarely pb... although I did more the first year... but I know I have a friend who just could not take off the 45lbs and she was 5'2 on her it looked more like my 100lbs.. her knees hurt and her back was a constant reminder of her pain. Sometime 45lbs is not a vanity thing but a nessity and even if it were for vanity... I say what ever makes you happy.

Going on three years!!! Thoughts and Reflections
So June 13th I will have been banded for three years. I have lost a 100lbs give or take and had no real issues or complications and still I wonder if I have worked hard enough. I could still stand to loose another 50 or so pounds... but I don't realy want to. I like being able to eat and wear clothes that I can find at target or ann taylor. I not a size twelve and yet my size 14/16s suit me fine. Maybe it is because I married a man who love a full sized woman and raves that I am perfect the way I am. Maybe its because in the african american culture my size is just right with my ample thighs and behind. So I have re designed my goals where once I wanted to be a with in my weight range, now I want to be in my comphort zone. I am 38, larger than some smaller than others, and I think I am doing fine. So why do I feel like I should want to be smaller... Any thoughts?
