  1. I went through Barix with Dr Kam also and I really liked him and the facility:) Good Luck!
  2. Where do I put cute little my weight counter in my profile so that it shows up with my posts?
  3. Feeling better now, called the Dr. and they have not called me back. But I think it's all good now. No really bad signs of blood clots or anything. I am actually a medical professional myself, but my expertise is pregnancy so I'm trying to not diagnose myself as I am not qualified! lol:)
  4. The better you start to feel about yourself for quiting, the more you won't want to use those things. I hear you though, I was a werk until about a week ago days before my surgery, but now I feel like I'm the coolest person i the world for facing my addictions. YOU CAN DO IT! And you will love yourself once you do:)
  5. I have weird leg cramps though. Any else had something of the like? I was told to walk a lot right away, but maybe I over did it?
  6. I quit 3 days befoe surgery, I had cut down to less then 4 a day at that point , and I used Zyban. I don't know if that is differesnt from Chantix (I 've never heard of that till now) but boy did it help!
  7. Everything went great yesterday and I feel really well today! I got out last night and I'm thrilled to be recovering at home! I found some very yummy high protien liquid recipes and I and I'm love with sugar free popsicles! Banded x 24hours and going strong! -X
  8. I had no prob after all Goodtimes. Thanks to all who responed to quell my freak out I walked in proudly and said "I tried to loose but, this is what I got. Can I still do this?." My doc said (through his giggles at my remak) that he has everyone try to loose as much as posible but that it is really hard for some people (hence our choice for lap band surgery) he just expects us to do our best. That is what my doc siad yours may be different but my guess is that the industry standard is the same. Try your best to loose but don't expect to be cancelled if you don't. On two days of a liquid only diet you may loose 5lbs anyway. Happily banded for 24 hours! Woohoo! -X
  9. I'd love to join the May banders group! Oh wait, how do I do that?
  10. Thanks for replying with your expiriances Krissy and Speshelk! I am staring to clam down now. And I think everything will be ok again, like I did before I steped on the scale this morning.
  11. My Dr. did not give me a pre-op diet other than clear liquid X 24hrs, but did tell me to try to loose 15-20lbs before surgery, so I started to exercize and cut my portions, but now tomarrows the big day and I've gained 6 lbs!!! I am horrified that they will postpone me or that I will need the incision insted! Has this happened to anyone else and what was the result???? HELP!
  12. Hi, I'm having my lap band placed 5/29/07 and I am very excited (but a little scared) I am hopping to get to know some people here who have been living the life for a wile and may have good advice. -X
