I really haven't felt pregnant yet... when does that come? No morning sickness either... the vitamines don't even bother me... Kimmcneely congrats also...it seems all I do is worry. I could eat all that wanted no until until today... and blip restriction was back. Ladies I have waited for this pregnancy for sooo long you bet I am savoring it. 5. I can't help with the smoking thing... however I hit my two year banding on the 13th of this month. I have lost 100 + lbs and it has been a great journey. I have only had two fills and prob could be at goal had I choosen to get more... but I wanted to work on part of this myself. I wanted to feel like I could enjoy my life and not feel as if I was dieting. I excercise and def. don't eat like I used to. But I never had a pre op diet. I ate a huge steak meal before I went into surgery the next day. Then "Jamie" my band Helped with the rest. I lost weight quickly at first. Then I did my best to forget it. Just remind myself I did not get to 300 lbs in a year so I was not going to loose the weight in a year and enjoy life. I fianlly have broken the 200 mark. It has taken two years.... but they have gone quickly and I have loved living in the mean time. I have another 30 more to go but why would I stop living to help my body do something quicker that it is doing naturally by itself. I know I will get to goal... So will you!
  6. Anthony why did you have your band removed?

Yes I think your right Kat will be next... she is the only one to mess up last night. I am horrible though. I never listen straight through. I listen to a snipit and if the jusges say something great or horrible then I rewind and listen a gain. I am sort of board.
  10. Everyone's welcome...let's start thinking about a date!
  11. I have had several friends and aquaintances who have had the bypass... I will tell you that for the most part they were sucessful. One was not. She gained all of her weight back. The thing for me about the bypass that scared me was the thought that I would die. I am not going to lie and sometimes look at my friend Kate who had the bypass the same time as me and now is a size 8, and wish this was going faster. But I haven't ever thought I wanted the bypass. I like the control I feel. I am not restricted up the yahoo. I have had all of two fills on an 11cc band. I know I could loose more and workout a whole lot less. But the funny thing is, Kate feels that she should have done it my way. She has lost her hair, and can hardly eat. She is misriable. Skinny yes, but misriable all the same. She can not go back. I have the choice. Which is another reason I made this choice. When I reach goal. I know it will be through hard work on my part and that makes my reward ever more sweet. I am not saying the bypass is easy. I am just saying I am glad for my journey needing to be thoughtfull. I needed to modify my eating habits. I needed to change the woman I saw in the mirror. That image and those habits have changed. I am glad I did it this way.
  12. I hope you feel better K@t
  13. Molly thank you for sharing... BTW go see fat girlz. It will make you laugh. I think you need a good inspiring laugh. Good luck sweetie and I am glad that you found support.

  15. I live in Riverside... Anymore takers:)
  16. I am a track and field coach and I have only had two fills and I attribute it to flying. I always have great restriction when I fly. I call it a bonus!
  17. Hey Ya'll I want to hang with like people. Maybe just for lunch or dinner on a Saturday or Sunday. Who would like to come? I love the fact that others meet and I know that there are some of us right here in the Inland Empire and surrounding areas. I would be willing to host it or we could have it at a resturant. But I think meeting the people who have supported us and understood us would be nice.
  18. My Dr. used glue I think and inner stitches... I loved it. So glad your feelign better!
  19. Wow when I am ready I will share too. You look great!
  20. I am one of those darker skinned people (blacks) as you put it. Keloiding can be prevented with the use of cortizone shots.
  21. I am sooo glad that I was not alone... I smile just thinking about the movie... now everytime my girls and I see a fine man we say he is a Tunde how ever its spelled!
  22. A guilty pleasure for all of your girls who want a sneak peak at some beautiful chocolate men. The premis behind the movie is that Jazmine Biltmore (Monique) is a plus sized lady who works at a department store and lives with her skinny as cousin. She and her best friend are always dieting and feeling left out. Jessica wants to be a plus size fashion designer because she makes her own clothes not being able to find any at the store in which she works (aint that the truth) Through entering a contest she and her best friend and cousin venture to Palm Springs for an all expence paid vacation. There is a Nigerian conference going on in the city and a beautiful and lean Dr. from Nigeria is staying at her Hotel. Jessica can not believe when he is attracted to her instead of her skinny (malnurished is how he and his friends put it in Nigerian) cousin. He says that in his country that a woman of substance is once who is well fed... (BTW I actually know this to be true having dated several Nigerian men) He calls her a Thick Madame and he is completely smitten. Of course lacking in self esteem Jessica eventually ruins things and returns home heart broken. I won't finish the story although I am sure that you can guess what happens in the end. This in not a story to take your husband too. Mine went and did not enjoy my rampant giggles and blushing over the obvious enuendos. But I must say ladies that this was right down my ally. It had many of my truths that I went through with my own love experience. I could not believe that my husband found me as attractive as he did. If I was going to rate this film based on truth and sexy men I would have to give it 4 out of 5 stars. (However it is predictable and not a deep film) Loved it though!
  23. Karlie, The first 4 weeks are for healing. Be careful with what you eat. Remember this isn't a cure all just help to give you that ability to cut back. There will be days even after you are filled that you will be able to eat all that you want. And there will be days where you will want nothing at all. I am one of the fortunate few that my stomic is very sensitive and I could hardly eat anything. If I pushed it I PB'd and I hate that feeling. I have only had two fills. Everytime that I think I should get another my stomic says I am not going to let you eat. So I wait. I can go months without loosing a lb. Then I drop 5 or 10. I excercise almost daily and still nothing. But because this was a lifetime choice I don't let my weight bother me. I feel better and I look better. It as almost been two years for me. In june It will be. I am down almost 100lbs. I thought I would be at goal. But I would rather be here then at 300. I love all that the band has done for me... you will to. Just remember to take it slow and help it out. Start by walking. It does not even have to be for long... 10 min will do. It will give you more energy in the long run. Stay positive and remember we are here when you need us.
