  1. I started the 5 day pouch test because I needed to break the habit of eating slider foods like popcorn. I love that I'm doing it. Because I so got away from the basic rules that we learned after Surgery! i too was disappointed that I didn't loose the "100lbs" by now soon to be 6 months in 3 1/2 weeks but now I'm feeling a since of renewal day 2. I'm finding that I'm reaching for protein first. Yay You can do it!
  2. Good question. I was athletic in my teens and early twenties. I was 124lbs pregnant at age 24 with my first. Got up to a size 14 with my second. I didn't put on a lot of weight till after my 3rd child. Finally took off 80 lbs got down to a Size 12 after my fourth kid. Exercise and raw food diet go so healthy and. What do you know? Pregnant again and I ate every thing and continued for 5 years after wards couldn't diet anymore, and here I am today.
  3. Had horrible Migraine headache started 7 months before surgery. I was eventually put on imitrex Now, after surgery 5 months out I've had only 1 that I had to take medicine for. That day Was bad because I had to work. Gratefully, I have not had any more compared to Having them all the time. Found out dehydration caused most of them When I had my first one my potassium was down and I got an Iv in the hospital. Hope u feel better!
  4. I say you ultimately know what you want to do. If you want to go then go. If not really then I say make the most practical Decision. Because, every ones recovery is different this is major surgery. Some are up and going some people need more rest. My nephew died a week before my surgery I didn't put my surgery off. I was in the hospital Day after surgery, during his funeral. I actually Took clothes hoping I'd get released and I didn't. Felt guilty for choosing to go ahead with having the surgery at first. But now I'd Never Ever Apologize for taking care of me!!! Do what you really want to do.
  5. Yes, was having several per month I have only had one bad one in 5 months.
  6. 6 weeks here. I have lifting job and couldn't have done it any sooner. Every one's situation is different.
  7. Wow! You look great. Congrats on all your hard work!
  8. Mine is over the top!!! And yes he is to Tiny one's question.
  9. Take the box of chocolate tell her to eat the whole box. Cause you won't be needing them. Lol But yea, it's normal what you are feeling. I cried At about 3 weeks its usually self limiting. Congrats and Good luck.
  10. I choose the sleeve and I glad I did! First too many people seem to have absorption problems. I actually wanted to loose slightly slower than I would with the gastric bypass for the sake of hopefully less loose skin. Follow up- my Surgeon said that I would need a lot more follow up with the gastric bypass. I just loved the sleeve procedure over the bypass one. You shave to decide for yourself.
  11. You are looking really great. Congrats!
  12. I get that with sugar too. The good thing is its keeps from even thinking about a tiny little sugar!
  13. Hi all, Wanted to share my Success so far! Sleeved 2/27 Weight 260 starting weight 267. today I'm 203lbs. Blood pressure 170/100 now 109/70 or lower. Happy camper!

  15. I truly appreciate your topic. I had some one really question me, that i didn't tell as to rather I'd had WLS because of the seemingly rapid weight loss. Wow I thought i was a slow looser. Lol
  16. Congrats on your decision to have the VSG. My stats similar, starting weight was 267lbs with a goal weight of 170 too. It has been a very great decision for me. I also chose not to tell outside of family. I'm happy . Wishing you success as well. Good luck
  17. That's scary because popcorn is a slider food for me.
  18. Wow! You look Amazing for 5 weeks! Congrats
  19. Yea, I lost a lot if hair too. But had this problem before with a knee scope surgery. Fortunate I wear a wig. I'm gonna try biotin again too.
  20. I did but it was there before surgery. So you may have to call your physician for that. Good luck
  21. I had ones that was remove before discharge and it was only mildly painful. No real problem.
  22. I think it might just take time to get use to in the beginning. I'm 5 months out and in the early stage we had to adjust. Now my hubby is trying to loose weight too. So I say give it some time. He doesn't say a lot about my weight lost but I am Happy! But if you think you need therapy it's work a try. Be patient with him too.
  23. Congrats you look great and have beautiful smile.
