  2. I'm so sorry for your loss...
  3. I'm pretty sure she can read labels and it's not like she will be eating them for every meal either...so yeah, they sound yummo! There is nothing off limits for me other than carbonated beverages as long as I count the calories...Enjoy!
  4. My insurance covers fills, I have a $12 co pay per visit...I have Tricare Prime. If the out of state Dr is in your network, I don't see why he wouldn't take you...Hoping for you that he does! Best Wishes
  5. I want to weigh less than my husband...and stay less than him forever...36 more lb's and I'm there
  6. The Walking Dead True Blood Dexter Game Of Thrones Survivor Top Chef Grimm Teen Mom (yeah I know)
  7. Yeah..I had that too, could be gas or if you had a hernia repaired it could be that....it will get better, I promise. Best Wishes
  8. Great news!! I was given Heparin before and after my surgery...Best Wishes
  9. That's great news!! I'm excited for you!
  10. Congrats on your banding!! So glad you are feeling great!
  11. Yeah I read that, but seriously, it sounds like she needs protein to help with her hunger and shakes are a great source of protein and I do know that a liquid will pass through quicker than a solid....I take what my doctor tells me very seriously but he isn't the one that has to live my life and eat and drink what I eat, as long as I do not go over my portion (which I don't), eat crap (which I don't) and get my protein in, there's no problem. I drink a shake every day and I think I have been very successful in losing weight these last 3 months.. I wish you the best bar2373
  12. I don't think you need more calories...while I realize that everyone is different, I am lucky if I get in 900 a day. I would never suggest anyone do something their surgeon says not to, but I honestly don't see why you can't add a protein shake. I have one every day and I'm almost 3 months post op...upping your protein could make a huge difference in your hunger, if you don't want to add the shake how about adding string cheese or some sliced meat as a snack to increase your protein and also get plenty of water between meals...Best Wishes
  13. From what I understand from the letter I received, if you have any referrals or authorizations that extend past March 31, 2013, United will contact you to let you know whether you need to get a new referral or authorization...this applies to me because I have a referral that starts in December of last year and ends in May of this year for 6 monthly visits for fills with my surgeon...As far as the 6 months of supervised diet goes, I did it and I was told that if it's a requirement there's no way around it....
  14. I've lost ten 5 lb bags of flour since December 17th...51 lbs!...I can't imagine carrying all that flour around all day now, but I did carry that weight and it was fat! I have a horrible relationship with the camera but I do plan on getting some pic's up.... So yeah...thanks for letting me brag, I'll brag again when I lose the next 50!!

I can totally relate to the bread....my name is Karen and I'm addicted to bread!!! It seems like you have a handle on the "head" aspect of eating...which will lead to your success this time....Best Wishes
  16. Hopefully the new doctor will be more understanding and good for you not giving up, you're so worth it!
  17. It doesn't sound like you have the most compassionate doctor but the amount of fills in your band won't make a difference if you don't track your calories, eat the correct foods and stick to your portions. Are you tracking calories and eating the amount of food recommended by your doctor?..I have 3 cc's in my band also and I have to make sure I follow the rules in order to lose weight...Do you have access to a nutritionist at your doctors office? If so I would recommend a visit with her if possible. Best Wishes
  18. I had heard of the rubber band thing but have not tried it...Kudo's to your wife Shaz for threatening to kick your a$$!
  19. Woo hoo JennyBee!!!!, you look fabulous!!
  20. I have never experienced this so called bandster hell either...I'm changing the way I eat and the way I think and it's not hell at all. I don't do the support group thing..I'm too private of a person to do that and I'm a week away from the 3 month mark of my banding and have lost 49 lbs since the day of my surgery. Best Wishes
  21. That's great!! I see a 5k in your future!
  22. That's awesome! Congrats!!
  23. 10 cc here and thanks Terry and CG for the giggles
