  1. Justjaime do you lnow how much a cc is? 1/3 cc is practically nothing. Not enough to make you feel "loose"! I say your mind is playing tricks! Dont feel bad, get back on the wagon and eat only what you should! Never over 1 cup and no snacks!
  2. I forgot one thing, sometimes you don't lose weight but you lose the inches. It makes sense! Protein makes muscle and we are drinking protein and building muscle through exercise! The inches go but you won't see it on the scale! Cheer up guys, it's working!
  3. This week I learned two important lessons the hard way! 1. The more Water you drink the faster you lose weight. 2. Never weigh in every day. Every other day is better. You may not see loss every day for many reasons and you'll get discouraged!
  4. It is normal and it makes sense. Don't get discouraged! Just keep going! You will lose it, your body needs to adjust!
  5. My theory is that I cannot let my mind take control of my body. God has given me a spirit of self-control and not of defeat. I will not let food mess up what I have accomplished with God's help! Maybe if you believe you can use my method!
  6. Please call your doctor and ask him. It could be the anesthesia, but I can't be sure!
  7. Great job! It's best to have a head start before the pre-op hits you like a freight train! I have been on liquids for 11 days now and my surgery is this Friday 12/14 at 10:30! Now it's just liquid in- liquid out, but I feel so good!
  8. Too soon! Usually 4-6 weeks! Please ask your doctor!
  9. Minimi I agree with you 100%. I have not cheated but I know that in being too hard on myself just sets me up for failure and frustration!
  10. I'm in Oviedo north of Sanford, but we can keep in touch!
  11. Wrap! This one works! Make a paste of oil and turmeric and apply with saran wrap 2x a week! Leave on 45 mins.!
  12. Well girls, yesterday I went to Tampa to get my pre-ops done I am being banded on 12/14 at 10:30! Labs, EKG, and chest x-ray done. Still on protein shakes, water, crystal light, jello, and broth! Only 6 days to go! On Dec 14, my new life begins! Congrats to all December gals!
  13. Go to youtube and search lapbandaustralia! Professor and his dietitian have lots of good advice!
  14. Sweetie I m sorry to hear you are feeling this way! One word of advice if you allow me. You cannot let your mind control you. You are in control. You made the decision to change your lifestyle and you need to stay away from situations that set you up for failure. Sometimes we need to stay away temporarily from our triggers until we gain full control. When I am hungry I have a protein shake, broth, and a big glass of crystal light! I also look at my "fat" pictures and then skinny goal pictures. We must train our brains and after while you can and will override cravings!
  15. You look beautiful! Proud of you!! Worth a little discomfort right?
  16. Also, bypass patients have much trouble with vitamin an mineral absorption! You drop the weight faster... Too fast which can be very dangerous!
  17. Suit yourself but my sister had bypass at 270 and now weighs 400. I work with surgeons and they make much more $ with bypass. If you stay on this forum or take time to read success stories you will see that band is less invasive and 1 of 20 people have complications. My advice is to go to a lap band and bypass seminar and then decide! Also check out how many people with bypass are getting banded. I wonder why? Don't ever make such decisions based on the opinion of one or two people. Get informed!
  18. Good job Sammy, my date is 12/14 and on my 8th day of liquids and I am walking 0.65/mile and cycling. Good to start now because post surgery cannot exercise for 4-5 weeks!
  19. Sitting in pre-op @ Tampa Memorial Hospital. Finally here after 2 hr. drive! Getting close girls!
  20. Anesthesiologists will almost always use the tube because anesthesia always slows down respiration and sometimes people with apnea may stop breathing, they need to be ready for an emergency! They do not insert the tube until you are under so you won't see or feel it. I don't have sleep apnea and when I had gallbladder surgery the nurse woke me up a few times in recovery and told me to breathe. Don't be scared they're professionals!
  21. Sweetie the first few days after I got my date (12/14), I couldn't sleep at all! I blamed it on my bed because I changed my room around! Lol!!! I's normal. Just take a picture of yourself with a tank top and sweat pants on and look at it every time you have doubts! Then picture yourself skinny and believe me, your doubts will disappear!
