  1. I have found a reputable Australian surgeon who has prepared some very informative videos! There's Professor Paul O'Brien's Golden Rules of Eating, parts 1-4, and my favorite introduction parts1-4. Also chech out other videos by his crew! I fell in love with this man's dedication! Good luck and let me know if you liked them! www.youtube.com/ lapbandaustralia !
  2. Gals, don't get too worked up! If you don't get up to walk around often, then you run the danger of developing blood clots! As with any surgery! My rule (since I have had a few surgeries) is to get up once an hour! We will need to do this for gas anyway! I am starting to get anxious! I am on day 6 of 14 clear liquids! Doing good (haven't cheated) I have lost six pounds and the day after tomorrow is my pre-op! The 14th is around the corner! Merry Christmas December bandsters!
  3. Can someone please tell me if it's normal to have watery stools on my 6th day of pre- op liquids?

  5. I am happy to be part of the December bandwagon! My date is 12/14! Day 6 of liquids and have some diarrhea! Feeling good! Had bad headaches first 3 days. Pre-op tests this Friday and have lost 6 lbs!!!!!
  6. Good luck and you are doing awesome! ???
  7. I totally agree with CHEZNOEL! In a journey you can fall of you horse some time!
  8. Thanks. This is one thing I needed to know!
  9. Unfortunately not all surgeons have your best interest at heart. With rising costs and insurance payments to doctors being so low, doctors will try to push more expensive procedures. I know because I have worked with them for 28 years! I would see a surgeon who does only lap banding! If you are not that overweight now, you dont need GB !
  10. Walk on lunch break every day and carb blocker works if you sit all day!
  11. Congrats, that's awesome! You're doing great!
  12. You know, he told me that my band is covered by Medicare 100 % and he knows I can't afford to pay $$$.
  13. I do not use the chocolate protein shakes because they are very constipating. I also take stool softeners daily with a cup of prune juice and it works fine!
  14. I just purchased the Nutribullet. It is awesome and The recipes are great. Complete nutrition at a cellular level. Nutribullet.com!
  15. You have some restriction becase the band has to make the new stomach which only permits you to eat 2-3 ozs. at a time!
  16. Jackie, I am so happy for you! Mine is 12/14 and we will start our new lives at Christmas! Good luck!
  17. Biotin and a lot of sugar-free Jello. My doctor told me that rapid weight loss an hair loss go hand in hand but It will grow back. A few years ago, I lost 80# in 6 months and lost a lot, (unnoticeable) but I hot it all back!
  18. My surgeons nurse sat down with me and said that due to the small amount of food, we definitely need vitamins. You can also take one vit/protein shake. I personally will use the one-a-day complete gummies!
  19. Memorial Hospital w/Dr. Grossbard from Florida Surgical Weightloss. My preops are this Friday!
  20. It will! Read my posts and you'll laugh!
  21. Thanks, I think I'm doing ok then! How about sugar free pudding?
