  1. I should add that I am happy with my progress thus far even though the scale and me are not getting along right now. I'm down 50 total since august, 17 of that since surgery.
  2. Down 17 total, haven't lost anything since 12/23 :-(.
  3. Feel the same. I was sleeved 12/10 . On Dos I was 300 exactly. The scale has not moved since 12/23. I'm following everything to a T, and still nothing. I try to look at the big picture bc overall with my own plan prior to surgery, liquid preop and surgery I'm down 50lbs. But I still though the initial loss would be quicker. Positive thoughts!
  4. I agree 100%,there are nasty people here. I don't think quit as bad as baby center ad those were some crazy ass hormonal women. But from my experience the same people on here are just nasty. Some would think if they are that annoyed with the site or posts they would just stop coming here. I didn't come around for a while bc they nastiness was unreal. You couldn't ask anything without it turning into a fight. Sometimes part of the problem is the same question get asked over and over as new people come to the board. I'm not saying that makes anything right or wrong but sometimes I think that determines what some people respond with. And like others said you can't detect tone in text . Take this site with a grain of salt.
  5. Thanks all. And sorry to those that are stalling as well. I just thought it would come off a little faster.
  6. Was sleeved 12/10 lost 16lbs the first week and a half. Haven't lost a thing since. Some days it goes up a pound or so then we'll come back down. But hasn't gone any lower than my initial lowest. I've been following my plan, I'm on purees now, should I be concerned or is this normal? I was thinking maybe I would call my nut on Monday just to check with them. Any thoughts? I hear about the 3 week stall how long does it last?
  7. For sure! I always say there is something in there that makes you crave it lol.
  8. Like the rest I cut it out a couple months before surgery because I was very afraid of how the cravings would be postop. I drank coke specifically from McDonald's (its the best). I gave it up around Halloween, I was sleeved 12/10/12. If I didn't have the sleeve i would still be drinking it. Definitely cut back now . My hubby gave up his mt dews since I was going through what I was. I don't know that I would be ok if he was sitting next to me drinking soda lol. Good luck!
  9. Sad to say I have no idea what it was on in the hospital but I was sent home on lortab. It is disgusting ifi do say so myself.
  10. Preop was 332 Dos 12/10 300 Yesterday 282.2
  11. Proud Grammy... I'm bumping this for you...
  12. Well you asked for help . Good luck.
  13. I would definitely measure out portions. I had a 40f bougie as well and can only eat about a 1/4c to 1/2c at a time depending on what it is I'm eating. Shakes, water is different like others said. Maybe touch base with your nut or surgeon again to get on base with the requirements. Good luck.
  14. I had a one week followup, then my next one is 3 weeks after that. Then every 3 months after that for the first year.
  15. I was sleeved 12/10 and for the most part had a fairly easy recovery. In the hospital for recovery i didn't suffer from some nausea. That night in my room and early into the morning the next day. Also the leak test I had done the next morning I failed due to the swelling in my tummy. The liquids wouldn't go down and stayed in my esophagus. So i was in Monday surgery at 2pm un my room at 6pm and then checked out on Thursday night around 6pm. Didn't really have any pain. Once the pain pump was taken away I didn't use any pain meds. I had single site gastrectomy so only two incisions which I think helped my recovery. As far as tolerating foods. I just started purees and so far I haven't had any problems with food. I do have trouble getting all my liquids in but I'm getting there.
  16. It's okay. I had so much swelling in my sleeve that the contrast would not leave my esophagus. Had my surgery on a Monday left there Thursday night about 6pm. All seems ok now though
