  1. I haven't noticed acid since surgery but my Dr puts everyone one 30mg of dissolvible prevacid. So far haven't noticed any acid. I had it bad prior to surgery. Maybe try the prevacid.
  2. Doing well! Yep I was sleeved 12/10. Down 16lbs since surgery and a total of 47lbs. It's a lot harder mentally than I was prepared for but I have a great support system and I'm doing good. Had a rough first week. And now they think my gallbladder might be inflamed a bit bc of all the weightloss. Have to keep an eye on that. When are you getting sleeved?
  3. I'll tell ya what. I had two egd's and it was the best 10 minute sleep I've ever had lol. Enjoy!
  4. My Dr brought up the same thing and said in some patients who have reflux prior to sleeve get it worse after. But he also stated that a lot of their rny patients are complaining of reflux and supposedly you're not supposed to get reflux with that procedure or have a better chance of not getting it. So my Dr feels as long as your reflux isn't that bad to begin with and you treat it after surgery then it's okay. But to each their own. I did not have a hernia repair but there a many on here who did. Good luck. Just do your research and ask lots of questions.
  5. i did call the on call surgeon. he didnt seem too concerned as i dont have a fever, nausea, etc. he did say that its very possible to be gallbladder pain because of the quick weight loss. if it gets any worse or i feel bad then i am to call back and come in to er for an evaluation. thanks for the help!
  6. And thanks . It's been rough but I'm doing it. Lost 16lbs since surgery and the rest prior.
  7. Hi all. I had surgery on 12/10 yesterday developed a pain under my right rib line which is also in line with my right boob (sorry just trying to explain where it's at). It only hurts if I touch it but it's very tender. I feel fine otherwise and I assumes its a pulled muscle of sorts. I know our livers are right there as well I have one incision that is to the left and down about 2" from the pain. Where they held up my liver during surgery. I don't believe the pain is from that but maybe it is? Any thoughts? I'm eating, well drinking fine, feel fine been going for walks and such. Hubby and I, did do a lot of running around Friday maybe I just over did it? Thanks for your help.
  8. I'm sure it's a combo of hormones and rapid weight loss. Granted I wasn't sleeved yet but my last one was like that. But I was SOOOOO stressed with everything before surgery that I think that is what happened. Of course everyone is different but I would bet it's a combo of both above. When in doubt call your ob.
  9. It personally didn't happen to me but I know people have posted about this before. Maybe try a search? Good luck. Hope it gets better for you
  10. Somewhere on this site someone mentioned making deviled eggs but instead of using the yokes putting hummus in there. Delish! Can't wait to try that.
  11. Meatballs are a good idea. Thanks! I start that in a week and am trying to collect ideas.
  12. Glad to hear everything is getting better and your getting great care. Hope you are home in time for Christmas!
  13. Just like becky we found the adult liquid Tylenol at cvs as well. We had checked walgreens, Walmart, target and meijer. Cvs wins
  14. I got, mine a week early I was 4 days post op. Other than lasting 7 days instead of 5 there was no difference from this one compared to past ones. I'm sure everyone is different but that is my story
  15. I'm 10 days postop and had actual hunger for the first time today. Had some jello and it went away. I still mentally want to eat. I can't wait for pureed foods. I just want some substance in me
  16. You look great! You give me hope that this will work for me too! I was sleeved 12/10
  17. Good jobs you guys! Mine ending up being about a week and a half postop. Then I got back in three weeks. Then every three months after that.
  18. Just got back from my one week check up. Down a total of 47lbs, 16lbs of that since 12/10. Woohoo How are all the sleevers from last week doing?
  19. Sorry no help here. Was sleeved 12/10 but I can't start purees until after xmas :-(.
  20. I was sleeved 12/10 and doing good. Getting two Protein drinks in a day. About 57g of protein. Still having an issue with getting all my Water in. But doing Jello and Popsicles as well and cream soups. I'm down 12lbs since surgery and a total of 44 since I started this journey. Definitely have more energy the last few days. Sorry to hear your were back in the hospital but I'm glad you are doing better. Goodluck to everyone!
  21. I couldn't have water until I did my leak test and passed I know how you feel. I begged them for those sponges to dip in water to get my mouth wet. Congrats on your surgery!
