  1. Gday Anna, Yes I am an AP bandit. I will ask my surgeon for the info card, when I have my checkup with him in March. Susannah
  2. Hi, I am not having any luck here! Ahhhh! Have tried three times. Will try again tomorrow. Susannah
  3. Hey Meredith, You look terrific!:biggrin1: I will ask my sister to help me to post my pic. Man she has done everything for me, from helping me to have a shower to making my smoothies. Susannah
  4. Hey Loretta, Everything is going ok, except for continual pain in my port incision. I have to put a dressing on it each night otherwise it is agony to lay down and accidently rollover on to it, in my sleep. As for the photos, I hate photos of myself. I am pretty. Pretty ugly.:girl_hug: Why can't I be pretty like others are? Susannah
  5. Hey M and Crew, My sister took some "before" photos of me, so I will be able to compare them to my weight loss down the track. Is it just me or do we all hate photos of ourself? I should post them here and you can see what I mean by ugly!:biggrin1: Susannah
  6. Hey Lizrbit, That is terrible! Sorry to hear that. Babygrl, You should get the pimply clerk do your bidding at the supermarket!:biggrin1: Bloody port pain!:girl_hug: Susannah
  7. Hey, I wish I was in QLD! Does that count? LOL:biggrin1: Susannah in Victoria
  8. Meredith. Thanks! I guess we all panic a bit where our bands are concerned. Susannah
  9. Hi Feebs, My name is Susannah and I was banded on 2/2/07. I lost 6 kgs on Optifast, and 2 since banding. I am 11 days out so I have not yet been able to resume my exercise program to the full extent. I guess I will start losing more once I am able to start exercising again. Welcome anyway. Susannah
  10. Hey, Advice please!:girl_hug: I think some liquids went through too quickly this morning. Will that cause the upper stomach to stretch, or the internal stiches to split? I feel fine, I am just paranoid about everything now that I have a band. Susannah
  11. Hey Anna, I think I have the AP large. Still waiting for some written info on it. Susannah
  12. Hey Jacqui, So Donald Trump doesn't do it for you ey?????:biggrin1: Susannah
  13. Hi Feb Crew, Good luck to all getting banded this week. Is it just me or are other people having more pain in their port incision? I have to cover mine at night in order to be able to lay down on my side to sleep. Susannah
  14. Morning girls and Mark, Cam thanks for the link to the healthy weight table. According to the medical weight range advice I should be from 52-69 kilos. So 70 or 75 kilos would be fine I think. I will set the goal at 75 kilos for now and then look at it again down the track. I agree with you 100% regarding the dangerous amount of weight loss they promote on the biggest loser. I am setting myself the goal of taking two years to lose my weight. That is the safe and healthy way. Trin glad you are getting out to support meetings. I think The Avenue may also have a support group that I might go along to. I really want to meet other bandsters and swap war stories!:biggrin1: Susannah
  15. Hey Bron, I forgot to tell you that one of the nurses who looked after me at The Avenue had herself been banded there three weeks before. Susannah
  16. Bron, I tell you what, nurses are fantastic people. The nurses at the Avenue were so wonderful and kind to me. Susannah
  17. Hey, My height is also 166. I think I would struggle to get down to 68kgs and maintain it. now I am stressed. Susannah
  18. Hey, My height is also 166.
  19. Hey Bron, Was I right with all my predictions? Susannah
  20. Hi, We have to do the info night, read heaps of literature that includes detailed info on diet, pre and post banding, physician, 2 consults with the surgeon, dietician post op. I had a sleep study also. How can I work out what my weight should be before I see the dietician? My height is 166. Susannah
  21. Hey Bron, Great stuff.:biggrin1: My surgeon didn't discuss my goal weight with me. I think he leaves that to the dietician. I have given myself the goal of 75 kgs, but it may actually need to be 70 kgs. Dietician will tell me when I see her soon I guess. Susannah
  22. Hey Astrotoes, Thanks for the welcome. My anasthetist also left me pretty bruised also. I have really bad veins to put any kind of IV into. I would make a terrible junkie!:biggrin1: Susannah
  23. Hey Bron, You can start posting on the March 2007 bandsters thread on the main board now. The time pre op will fly by. I am really happy for you. Susannah
  24. Hey, Looks like I was right on my time line prediction!:biggrin1: Yay! That is no time at all. Susannah
  25. Hey, Thanks for the tip. Man I love Starbucks! My mouth is watering thinking about it right now. Is Grande a bit big of a size to drink though? I drink the tall size which is the smallest one. Susannah
