  1. Hey Babygrl, I use Benefiber mixed into my liquids. It has worked quite well. I really salute those of you who have been banded who are mums having to deal with kids through all the pain etc. I couldn't look after someone else during all this etc. Hopefully your extended family can help a little. Susannah
  2. Bron, Put the thought out to the universe that you need it done in 2-3 weeks post consult. Visualize it. Stranger things have happened. Susannah
  3. Hi, I didn't realize Anna's mum was so hideous. I haven't seen any interviews with her. Sadness upon sadness really. Susannah
  4. Hey Bronnie, Funny you should mention this, because yesterday I was reading that board and getting such an unpleasant vibe from it. Sorry that I referred you to it, I just thought maybe you could chat with other Dr Nottle patients. I will be staying away from it also from now on. Yay one more sleep for the Bronster!!!!:biggrin1:  :biggrin1: Meredith thanks for the advice! I would be happy to have a meet up with everybody here at some stage if you would all like. Meredith you are in Melbourne in March right? We could go out to eat, with our one saucer with two peas each on it! LOL!:biggrin1: Susannah
  5. Hi, They also have a name for men that partake in sexual behaviour of that nature, or are we still stuck back in the dark ages?!!. Unless we are all perfect in every way, sorry I don't think we are in a position to judge to be honest. Susannah
  6. Hey, How is the baby's name pronounced? Is it Dannie Lynn or Dannielynn, one word? I think Hope is a prettier name. Poor Anna. Susannah
  7. Hey Loretta, I just checked out Ebay Australia and they have Tony Ferguson and Optifast shakes and bars etc. Susannah
  8. Loretta, Are you a patient of the famous Dr Nottle? Susannah
  9. Hey 2, I post on the main forums is what I mean, which I presume are mostly yanks. Yay! I love Yanks and Canadians too. :biggrin1: Susannah
  10. Hey, Well I as an Aussie post on the American board every day. Nobody has swatted me with a fly swat yet!:biggrin1: Susannah
  11. Hey Loretta, Could you get the shakes on Ebay? Maybe someone could check that out for you. Sometimes people go nuts stocking up on heaps of shakes, then they change their mind and sell boxes of them off on Ebay. I found the cheapest place for the Optifast was the Chemist Warehouse. They were 40 bucks for a weeks supply. You can also get bars and soups, although I didn't try those. Susannah
  12. Gday Bubbles, If the Canadians don't want ya we would welcome you to stop by and say hi on The Australian Board!:biggrin1: We are pretty laid back.Susannah
  13. Hi All, Dannielynn is as cute as a button. I hope Her grandmother can have custody of her for the time being, until the paternity issue is cleared up. Howard K Stern should be allowed to see her daily though, because he is the one constant that has been in her life other than her mother. Susannah
  14. Hi Bubbles, Is it necessary to leave? I also don't know what the issue is about, and that is not important, I just know that everybody has squabbles from time to time. It can be worked out. We all need the support that this forum supplies. Think it over. Susannah
  15. Hi Dawn, I have Multiple Sclerosis and have to have MRI scanning of my brain and spinal cord at planned intervals. They have assured me that the Band poses no problems in this regard. Susannah
  16. Hey Tracy, April seems a long way off, but you know it is highly likely that a cancellation will occur. I second the motion that we need you in the Feb group. Those March bandsters trying to steal you away, I think not!!!!: :biggrin1: :biggrin1: Put the thought out there to the universe that you really need a cancellation. Visualize it. Stranger things have happened. Good on ya mate! Susannah
  17. Gday Everyone, Thanks Meredith for the good oil on the whole liquids caper. I can easily drink the required amount of liquids daily, but strangely enough I am satisfied with that. I have not really been hungry. The custard and ice cream etc are only allowed until the end of the second week, then they have to be banished. I have only been having one small weight watchers icecream tub a day anyway so its not like I am scarfing down a huge tub of it daily. You get in that mentality though where every little thing you do you worry about. Holy Smokes Batman!:biggrin1: The Avenue told me I only have to be on post op liquids for 2 weeks and not 3 which I was originally told. Is it true you can have cottage cheese in your mushies stage? I need some ideas for the mushies stage desperately. There is a food forum on this site, but some of the recipes refer to American ingredients etc, and I am like "You can't get that at Coles or Safeway!" LOL;) Katrina you are setting a wonderful example for your daughter. Well done. Meredith I have heard that people use coke as a kind of draino when food gets stuck! :biggrin1: Bronnie, your a legend mate. Dionnem, How are your kids? Do you practice the fine art of kiddie wrangling?!!!! Fee, I hope your baby had a wonderful first week at school. Mark, how are you travelling with your weight loss? Loretta, Any luck finding the Tony Ferguson Shakes? Anybody else I missed, Good on ya! Susannah
  18. Hey Hedwig, I can only do the one mile at the mo!:biggrin1: But soon I will be able to do the three mile with weights. That is my goal. Susannah
  19. Hi All, Dionnem- Not long now!:biggrin1: It must have been nice working at your son's tuck shop. My sister's twins love it when she works in theirs. As for my reason for getting banded, I was getting heavier by the year and dieting my way up and not down. When I was diagnosed with MS in 2003 the neurologist also gave me a very serious talking to about my weight. It took me a while but it forced my hand really. I was also sick of being 36 years old and feeling like I am 90! I also want to find a special someone and have a baby. If that is not meant to be I am sure I could love a partner's child like my own. Bronnie- 3 sleeps! Yay! I want a full run down of your appointment on Monday.:biggrin1: Meredith and Jacqui, Mark etc A few questions. 1. How much water should I be drinking daily? 2. During the liquid phase- How many Mls should I be having of each liquid? They told me to have Breakky, m-tea, lunch, a-tea, dinner etc, but did not say how many mls! 3. They allow custard and quick and ice cream during the liquid phase, but I am stuck in diet mode and feel I shouldn't be having this. Did you guys have these? Thanks. I really need the advice here. Susannah
  20. Jason, thanks for the info on Equal. I don't use much of it but I reckon I will ditch it all together now. Susannah
  21. Hey Koala, I am so happy for you. You just described some of the nsv's that I hope will be coming for me too. I can't wait to go and buy cute clothes off the rack. Well done. You have worked hard for it too, the band was an aid. By the way I love Koalas too.:biggrin1: Susannah
  22. Hi, Well said Audree. People focus on the fact she was an opportunist, well women and men have been using each other since day dot. Not that it is ok. How many of us would turn down the opportunity to make money selling a product? I have the very strong feeling that Anna's daughter was not fathered my Howard K Stern, but that she loved him so much that she wished that she was. Anyway that is all speculation. My hope is that Anna's daughter will have a happier life in years to come than Anna did. Susannah
  23. Hi All, Anna had struggled with her weight for the longest time, so we should have even more compassion because that made her a kindred spirit. Susannah
  24. Gday Feb Crew, Congrats to those who have been banded!:clap2: Holy smokes gang, I am one week post op and have lost 2 kgs, which is just under 5 pounds I think!:biggrin1: Yay. Susannah
  25. Hi, Yeas so maybe Anna Nicole abused drugs and alcohol, but I reckon a lot of us have ended up where we are from abusing food. Maybe Drugs and alcohol were Anna's port in the storm. At any rate we can't look down on her. She has lost her life so I would hope we could have a bit of compassion and grace for another person. Susannah:confused:
