  1. Yeah I bitched & moaned about this not too long ago. It's not fair, where's the WLS that lets you target problem areas?! Size 18 chest, size 22 waist, size 13 pants. It's not right.
  2. Deja vu! If you feel you're near a sweet spot, I wouldn't touch it. Sweet spots are a rarity it sounds like! The point of a vacation is not to indulge in overeating food, that's the warped fat person mentality. I think you should focus on the whole vacation aspect, and not get unfilled just to gorge for a special occasion.. kind of defeats the whole purpose don't you think?
  3. I was tempted to look at this thread, partially because it sounds so provocative, I've been trying to live in the closet, then I thought.. maybe I do it and don't realize it!! After reading, I'm relieved to know it's not as easy as "If you stand on one leg, it'll go down better, and you can eat bread!".
  4. LOL! I have never had problems being on top due to my thighs, but my back hurt really bad from being on top, I'd get out of breath, and it was not enjoyable. DH admits it's his favorite, so I give it to him as a treat (or did rather). Now I can be on top comfortably, WITH NO BACK ACHES!!.. But I'm still too lazy to do it regularly. Sometimes in normal positions, my legs can go over my head easily, yay, but it hurts my port sometimes.. so, I prefer doggie, I get no aches or pains and it feels best to me.
  5. Just from the responses, you can tell everyone is different! I have the smallest band, and the doc thought I would have restriction without a fill. I guess I had mild restriction. It's 9.75" long one, and holds 4cc. My first fill of .5cc was too much. They took it out, then I lost more weight, and they added .5cc back.. and I had perfect restriction for a while. Lost more weight, and last month I stopped feeling it. They added another .5cc, so I'm at 1cc now and I am pretty darn tight. Some people don't even feel 1cc and it's a lot for me.
  6. You'd love my house then Terry, and it drives me nuts!! We buy furniture as we can afford it, so 3 years ago all I could afford was discount stuff from Oak Express.. bright pale oak-a dining table & chairs, 3 bookshelves.. then I took 2 bookshelves from my parents they were throwing out, a red tinted oak. Then our entertainment center is black wood. Then our guest bedroom (old bedroom set) and the dresser/nightstand in our bedroom is this birch wood. I can't stand it, if I was rich I would buy all new furniture, or at the very least stain the pale oak to be black & match the entertainment center. Oh and our cabinets throughout the house are mahogany. Blah blah blah. Went to dermatologist since I decided against the scary drug. She gave me a new cleanser (old one isn't doing anything), and then said there's been some research that shows using liquid Maalox, putting it on the affected area at bedtime & washing it off the next morning has been curing it, 'they' are researching to figure out why. So she's 'excited' to see if it helps me, I'm a guinea pig. Meanwhile, she doesn't want to prescribe antibiotics yet.. Oy vey. I guess some people get sick from antibiotics, but I'm not one of those people, they don't affect me and if we were gonna do scary drug, why can't we skip to antibiotics now.
  7. I haven't tried them, but maybe someone here has? I was googling protein tablets.. most of them only have 1g of protein per tablet, but this one: Solgar - Whey To Go Protein Protein Tablets Has 11g per tablet. Seems like a nice easy way to get your protein in.
  8. Until this season, I always watched the funny first auditions, then tuned in for the last 3 weeks to see who won. Has it always been this way? I thought they gave them a theme like.. "60's" and they got to pick 60's songs. Have they always done a whole week of a certain artist? Dolly Parton, ALW, Neil Diamond, etc? I think it sucks honestly, we're not getting to see them shine, we're getting to see them mildly adapt to being made to sing songs.
  9. See how this formats, this is what I have so far, and I'll edit this post when I get the rest of the info. I think Michelle is going to be a tough one to beat!!! 10. My insurance had an exclusion, so being that I was self-pay they let me rush right in. At the seminar, I said "I'm ready, let's do it!" and they scheduled me I think less than a month out.
  11. Didn't read the posts, but just from the title..... I didn't know people were afraid of atheism?!
  12. Jason was one of my favs, he's so cute, and for a couple weeks he sang songs that are 'weird' that I always liked.. the Rufus Wainwright Hallalujah, the Isam (sp)'s version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow, etc. But I gotta admit, I have fast forwarded through him for a couple weeks now  I'm not all gung ho about anyone after this week. I didn't like any of them. I think it's this set artist theme crap. I don't want to hear 10 Neil Diamond songs. I want them to pick stuff they want to do!!
  13. Sophie have you gone to the support group meeting in Birmingham? I live in Huntsville, so it's too far a drive to me, but I have heard the hospital there has a good bander's group. It may help you get back into the swing of things or at the very least get some insight.
  14. You know Kat, you're not on this list either!! I got this list from someone, I thought it was you.. maybe it was Terry.. then I added Pam to it. Doh! What was your start?
  15. Jane- I created the document with info on March 27
  16. Oh I see. Have you looked at calories in pop tarts?! I never liked them that much to begin with, but if DH bought them I would eat a 2-pack if nothing else to eat. 800+ calories in ONE pack!! INSANE!! I haven't touched them since bein banded out of principle. I could eat 4 blueberry muffins for that much calories. Anyway, not lecturing, just pointing out in case you didn't know! And I vote YES for the table, it's very cute!
  17. The withdrawals scared me the most, the way I understood it, was that you over-register by 2 classes and within the first 2 weeks you decide which 2 to drop. I did that for 3 semesters till I had an interview with a marketing company. They wanted to know why I withdrew every semester, if I am a quitter, etc. Luckily I had straight A's in everything up to that point, so I was able to explain without sounding like a liar!! The 2nd time was for another marketing company and they did the same thing, but by this time I had a C from a Spanish class (stupid foreign languages!!), and they didn't like that. Luckily, I've had this job for a few years and I'm not going anywhere. So, "technically" for me my transcript doesn't mean a hill of Beans, but since I busted my butt on these papers, and I've taken enough of these classes to know when I write an A paper or if I wrote a half-ass paper.. I know I deserved A's. It's shitty of teachers to believe A means perfect, therefore you can't have them. One more thing to point out, it didn't apply to me, but what about people trying to get scholarships?
  18. Judy - What is Bobster's weight today? He was on our list. I also need Haydee, and Terry!
  19. Hey Jane, your name isn't on the list I have  What was your starting weight? Oh BTW out of 3 stats I have, Michelle is winning!
  20. Tracy- Just FYI you are NOT the same weight, you lost 2.7lb  See, we're just in denial. If you guys PM me your weight today I'll plug it in and figure the numbers (or post it on here, I'll get it that way too).
  21. Woohoo Terry!! I just landed a big graphic design job! I took graphic art classes, and I do my SecondLife clothing design, and every once in a while, the smaller record labels need graphic design, so I've done that. Today the City came in and want a brochure designed, so I quoted it for em. Woot. $$$. Woot. Gonna be the biggest undertaking I've done, kind of nervous & excited at the same time. Been working on the contract for it.

Hah hah.. bring the anti-bacterial soap!!
  23. 1-1.5 months.
  24. Do you have any family or friends nearby that you can call on to help you if a situation arises?
  25. Brandy, it will change.. I remember the first couple of weeks I had no desire to eat, so the beginning diets were a breeze. Then the swelling goes away and you're in 'bandster hell'.. the time period between surgery swelling going down & your first fill. Hungry and wanting to eat everything in sight, and likely won't even feel like you have a band! I am kind of back there with good restriction. Eating is a PITA, so I don't look forward to it like I once did. And I don't get excited over most foods, like I use to. It's just food now.
