  1. That's not too terrible!! When I was at college, since my address changed a lot, I had my credit card bill go to my parents' house. I paid it online, but the physical copies went to them. They opened it every month, and now I'm not sure what for, it never helped anything. I guess they looked for any fraudulent activity.. and I never bought anything out of the ordinary so it didn't matter. Well I order sex toys ONCE.. ONCE (well many times now, but at the time.. ONCE), and the place said discreet billing, shipping, etc. I get a call from my mom a month later about some "Sex Shop Purchase". Sigh. I called the sex place and threw a fit, they made an 'error' and offered me a 15% discount on my next purchase and swore it wouldn't happen again. I refused to purchase from them again for that error.. But that still looms over my head. At least you didn't know the people!
  2. Probably the part that you pulled out of your ass about how Lap Band doctors will be sued, and Lap Band will be pulled from the market.
  3. Wow that's neat, anytime we get the effects of someone's earthquake, I never am awake. Never felt one yet! Sometime last year someone said we had a decent one that knocked stuff off people's tables. Of course, I was asleep! Well, I got most of my clothes gone and Kat, that shirt you wanted me to hold for you, everyone who has responded wanted it! lol. I got it tucked with my V gifts! I still can't believe you wear that size though, I would have guessed a 12/14!! Same ol', I'm extremely behind in homework, lots to do and still no motivation to do it. So close to the end, argh!! Anyone watch Survivor last night and jaw drop when Ozzy was voted off?! I didn't even see it coming, since they read 4 Jason's at first! I got tons of BCBS claims today, they paid everything at the hospital that night.. thank god, it tallied up to over $9,000!!!! I still think some of this is crap, there's like 12 doctor claims, I only saw 1 doctor, 1 cat scan, maybe 1 other person to read it. There was one that didn't get paid, $140 said the person was not elligible. So I called the clinic asking why they gave me someone who wasn't covered my BCBS and then didn't tell me up front. They pulled it up, they are covered. So I called BCBS (was scared to stir up the pot and make them say "Oh we shouldn't have paid any of this!"). So they said they do cover, and are resubmitting that one. Whew. But back to how insurance & hospitals screw people over, if BCBS didn't cover, I'd owe some $9,000... but insurance only had to pay about $2,000 total. Hrmph.
  4. Might want to find a more appropriate threads in fills and/or complications for this.
  5. Glad you're alive Denise! Wow the house is coming along and WOW those are 2 really pregnant girls hehehe! I see you do have your hands full! Glad you checked in though, I was getting worried!!! PAM!! THAT IS SO CUTE!! I won't use them, I like to collect stuff like that, so I'll keep it on my shelf with other fairy things. Thank you so much! You're such a doll!! Now onto this if you missed it, I am giving away lots of clothes-- For now here they are: http://lauraj23.blogspot.com/ You can click on each pic to see it bigger, and if you want something, either PM me here or leave a comment on the blog (include which item you want.. just describe it... ). Those comments will remain private, so no one else will see them but me. Make sure you realize... 1. I have cats, dog, and I smoke 2. I do need to be reimbursed for the shipping (It is discounted from work, so it won't be much but I do have to pay them back)
  6. I have has Jason's Deli 3x this week. Broccoli & Cheese soup everytime. NUM NUM NUM lol
  7. The drop off bins (tables) have signs on them that say "NOT TAKING DONATIONS AT THIS TIME". I don't know, I never saw this before, but it's been like that a while. I guess not enough people are buying, they are overflowing out of their stores. Yes Kat, PM me your email addy just so I have it in the list and don't forget to include you! The cardigan is so pretty, it's creme and semi-sheer with long renaissancy flowy ruffle sleeves and corset-laces up the back. I oogled it 2 years, then finally decided to fork out the cash for it (size 24) and I was barely a 22 at the time, it is so large on me it's ridiculous. Not for lack of trying, on several occasions I tried to pull it off, but it does NOT look good when it's too big.
  8. As I said in my first post, I don't like the idea of garage sales :tt1:) I don't want to feel bad selling something to someone and they end up not liking it, and they're my neighbor. I want to just donate them, but some reason goodwill is too good to receive donations for a while now.
  9. To PM me... <-------------- Click on my name, and a menu pulls up, select "Send a Private Message this person". I am going to work on it tonight, so I should have it sent out tonight or tomorrow night.
  10. I'd say let your doc make a judgement on how much to unfill if you're too tight. If it's an unfill just for a cruise, I'd say don't :tt1:
  11. I need to rant about a customer. I can't take it anymore, I get anxiety attacks when I see his name on the caller ID. He is the most unorganized person I've ever talked to in my LIFE. That is an understatement!!!!!!!!! We have a price book, he HAS the price book. He will NOT look at it. Then he calls me, wanting to calculate him a price out of the price book for like 20 different quantities, 20 different options, 20 different shipping options.. literally takes me hours. We're not suppose to do this, this is why we have.. A PRICE BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I told him, LOOK AT YOUR PRICE BOOK. And he writes me back "Can you just tell me what it is?" then the next day he will ask again. I don't know where he puts his e-mails that he can't pull up an e-mail from the day before. I am going nuts. Then he has a ton of free time to talk, so he keeps calling me & his CSR girl and chit chatting and we don't have time for that. Then he wants us to waive fees, give him discounts, etc. And the answer is NO. He has the best pricing we have, and he doesn't even deserve it (we're changing that on May 1). But since he won't look up his own pricing, I've been adding $1,000 to the job every time, just for the headache. Then he wants to talk to me about it. Ugh. I just ran through this with him, he called and I had to let it go to voicemail "Call me so we can talk about this job, my customers are being a pain in the ass". No kidding? I know what that's like. Argh.
  12. ROFLMAO!! Tracy that is hilarious!! And you thought you were fat? My god, you were skinny. And no boobs to boot! :tt1:
  13. Good luck!! Sounds like you're heading in the right direction!)
  14. Ok, I may regret doing this if it becomes a headache, but... Our local goodwills and stuff have been 'not taking donations' since before Xmas, and I've been going through clothes like nuts. I have literally been THROWING AWAY clothes. It's emberassing, I hate that. I am not going to sell them though because.. 1. I don't want to do garage sale 2. Don't want to be responsible for someone paying on ebay for used clothes and not liking it because it may have cat/dog hair and/or smoke smell. However, I have a lot of trashbags of clothes I haven't been able to throw out, I was taught that's wasteful, and I had hoped local places would start taking donations again.. no luck and I need the room. So, I am going to compile a big list of pics of clothes I have to get rid of. Some have only been worn once, and some (very few) for years, but I won't put anything in the list that I think no one would want. I'm going to compile the list, and it's free.. first come first serve, all I ask is that you pay for the shipping, which you can do via paypal or write me a check! I ship from work, which is discounted, so it is quite cheap, but I do have to reimburse the company for the shipping charges. There's all kinds of things, from pants, tops, sweaters, hella cute knee-length cardigan that took me 2 years to decide to spend the $$ for and then I could wear it only once before I got too small (I really lament about this one.) From sizes 24-18. If you want to get the e-mail with all the pics/info please send me a PM with your e-mail address. It won't be a spammy thing, I'll send it out once and if you want something let me know what. If it's already taken, I'll let you know. I do have 3 long haired white cats, a boxer dog and me & DH smoke. The items will be clean, but I know some people are sensitive to those things, so keep that in mind )
  15. YAAAAAAAAAAAAY JENNIFER!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS )
  16. I was self-pay, I have insurance but an exclusion on obesity treatments.. $15,000 total for the surgery. This includes 6 follow up visits. 6 months later (on my 6th visit) they realized I needed a revision on something. $2,000 out of pocket to hospital, $500 to anesthesia, and doc didn't charge me since he felt bad and this was all out of pocket. I also had to do the psych eval, which insurance paid for, if it didn't it would have been $150. Then the pre-op exams, either insurance paid for or was included in the 15k, as I was never charged for it. Now my fills are free indefinitely. They forget everytime I go and I have to remind them, but at least they don't hassle me about it. I love love love my band, even though I had to do a 2nd operation. I'd be devastated if I had to get rid of it.
  17. Good to hear ) I have tried different diety things, I honestly just take whatever I can get a hold of. Right now my uncle had a huge bottle of hydroxycut and due to his heart problems he can't take it, so I got it for free and that's enough for me to take it hehe. I do notice a huge difference in my energy on the days I forget to take it, so I like them. I just never knew if these things actually did anything to the body itself. I never took them for the diet aspect, I just lack energy on a daily basis without them (and I'm not really a coffee drinker). I can say, I keep extra undies in my office & our cars "Just in case". I've never had to use them, but if I did I want to have options hah hah. But if a medicine specifically tells me to have them, I'm not buying it.
  18. I haven't had any gas problems since banding. I burp a lot (due to swallowing lots of air!), but the gas isn't any different than it was. Maybe figure out what foods trigger gas for you? :/
  19. I agree with her, first step would be to get a fill. And if it helps you ease your mind & you have insurance- or the money.. ask your doc to do a fluero so he can check out the pouch size. I keep debating paying for that just to ease my mind, but after my last fill I'm confident again that my band isn't broken. Losing the restriction plays all kinds of emotional/hypochondriac games on me. Get back on the horse!)
  20. I'm in Huntsville, AL but my band surgeon is in Anniston, AL.. which is pretty close to Auburn. I really recommend him, he's awesome.. Dr. Freeman. There are also Birmingham docs, which aren't too terribly far, I think Dr. Miles & Dr. Black are the names?
  21. I have to say the band was the best thing I ever did for myself! I was debating RnY for years, but family was utterly opposed, so the scare factor was kind of gone. I was too desperate. Diets didn't work, I have no will power, I hate exercising, etc. When everyone was OK with the lap-band I just JUMPED on it. I expected it would be more years of begging them to back me on it (approval from my fam is important to me). I was a crippled 21 year old from back problems, and I was ready to get a surgery with or without anyone backing me. So when they did back the lap-band, I really literally jumped on it. Started calling docs that day, went and saw one a week later- did not like him- found another one and saw him the same week at his orientation thing. I was scheduled for surgery about a month later (self-pay). I came to this forum, and I read the success stories and studied the B&A pics. I never went to complications. The doc told me the major complications, and I understood them but I had no room to dwell on it. I needed to do this. So here I am a year later, and so glad it happened. Just keep positive, don't scare yourself. You're doing it for you )
  22. I never tried it, when I read the instructions tell you to carry a change of underwear. Pass! I take hydroxycut. I can't say it's doing anything to my body, but it gives me energy.. and it doesn't have ephedra so that's a bonus.
  23. And let's not forget what a true epic fail is... http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y38/diyablo/epic-failure08.jpg
  24. There is a warranty clause with Allergan, when they were trying to figure out why fills didn't work, my doc said Allergan wasn't getting back in touch with them, so I wrote a flaming (I was upset with the band 'failing') e-mail to Allergan. Within 24 hours a really nice guy called, got all kinds of info from me, my doc's info, and sent me a packet for them to send my band back in to be evaluated, etc. Then it ended up the port was flipped, so it wasn't needed. But they were extremely attentitive, and thorough. They gave me warm fuzzy feelings.
  25. Well, to that I would say Hakuna Matata! I guess my point is, don't let it traumatize you. I know I had bad points in HS, but frankly I don't remember anything specific.. all I remember now are the funny times. There were people I hated because they were shitty people, but to this day that means absolutely nothing to me. Even if I ran into them again, I wouldn't think twice about it. Just a reflection back on what a crappy person they were.. has nothing to do with me. And I couldn't tell you what was specifically said. The only trauma story I have is from middle school, and the only reason I think I remember it so well is because my mom came to the rescue and humiliated the girl in the mall in front of all of her friends. So the only reason is stuck was because it had a happy ending.
