  1. Oh, my Doctor would be sooooo mad at you,LOL
  2. I have read on here that WW does count if you have documentation. As long as it was consecutively. I almost had to start over because me Dr. went on vacation and I was going to miss an appt in July. My bariatric office caught it at the last minute and I was able to see a Doctor filling in for him. I would have been really ripped if I had to start over.
  3. What did " 1 shake for breakfast & ate outside my diet for supper" come down to?? No lunch??? I really don't know what to say, other than I hope it works out for you. Sometimes a mistake doesn't matter and sometimes it means no surgery. I hope in your case it mean it didn't matter. My only thought is, if you can't follow pre-op are you going to be able to follow post-op? It's really important that you follow your Doctor's instructions to work your band. This is not a magic bullet, it's a choice to work your band according to your Doctors instructions. I hope & pray for the best for you!!
  4. You're not to heavy. If you follow this forum you will see there are a lot of people heavier than you. That being said, you do have to have your mind in the game. Lapband is Not a magic surgery that you have and the weight is just going to fall off. It's a tool that has to be worked properly and if your mind isn't in the game it won't work. I suggest you continue with your psychiatrist and make sure you know what is involved with the LB. Best wishes to you on this journey!
  5. I have Aetna and that is exactly what I had to do. If you have 6mths of consecutive supervised diet with PCP they will except that. I did not and had to start at day one(just finished 6mths). My bariatric surgeon did handle everything. They stayed in contact with PCP. Psych Eval sent report to surgeon. Right now surgeon just sent all of above requirements to insurance for approval. Now I wait!!!! This is a good time for you to educate yourself on the Lapband. It's not a magic cure to weight loss, but a tool that has to be used properly. Good luck on your journey and post often!
  6. 12 lbs. in 2 wks. That's 6 lbs. per wk. Average is 1-2 lbs a wk. I think you did good!
  7. Oh MissCG, you are tied to my heart!!!!
  8. I guess this just goes to show, read your consent forms before you sign them. It had to show what procedure they were going to do.
  9. I would think second Doctor could tell by an x-ray. Either your stomach is folded or it isn't... Also insurance company should be able to tell you.

  16. CG is right. We pay our surgeon's big bucks to take care of us. My surgeon even gives an emergency #. It would take 2 sec.for them to tell you if you need to worry. Make the call.
  17. Glad you're okay! Don't forget sip sip sip!!
  18. Congratulations, you rock!!!!
  19. Hi Allen, Not from that area, but I asked my PCP for a recommendation and I'm very happy where he sent me. Did you ask your Dr? Congrats on losing 60 lbs on your own, sounds like you'll do very well. Good luck & keep us posted. Post here often, a lot of knowledgeable people here.
