  1. Thank you so much for writing this article. I have spent the better part of the year in my regain glasses. It is high time that I took them off and put on my 'just for today" glasses. You are a wonderful writer and your inspiration, I hope, will help me to do things right!!
  2. To the OP: I am a life time Weight Watcher member. I go to the meetings on occasion because I enjoy the information shared, stories and tips. I DO NOT follow their eating plan actually I have NEVER done the points program as I think it is senseless. I have always followed the VSG plan(protein, veggie, little carb). What I really like is getting the sticker in my book that reads such a low weight...............one that I never reached at W.W. They also do not need to know that I had WLS.
  3. You look fantastic only one chin now!! Keep going though, not sure how tall you are as you don't look too thin now.
  4. Fruit can be very fibrous, be careful and stick with protein and your applesauce.
  5. Very well said LTL
  6. There are alot of plastic surgeons in Tijuana. Dr Fuentes, Dr Cardenas, I hear are very good but not the cheapest. I went to Dr Salas and wouldn't recommend him although he is very inexpensive.
  7. That sounds really delicious. I make mine vice versa; protein mix, add soy milk, add teaspoon of instant coffee granules. Delish!!

Bread is hard for many to eat. I am over 6 months and don't know if/when I will ever try bread. Crunchy crackers are good but soft breads/pasta, maybe not.
  9. It is the release of fat from your body that is affecting your hormones. I think that we all go through this at some level or another. Hang in there, it will get better!
  10. How much of the cheese did you eat? Did you weight/measure it? At 4 weeks out, and still do at 6 months, weigh and measure everything I eat. BTW 600 calories is alot for 4 weeks out. I only recently am able to eat between 700-800 calories. Don't rush it; drink your shakes and eat what protein you can. Make the most of this weight loss phase to optimize your weight loss. Good Luck.
  11. Tell us where you are who is your surgeon?

  13. Wow I definitely can sympathize. I take miralax(clearlax) everyday. If I don't I have real bathroom issues too. You may have to do this too. I hear for some once their food intake increases they don't need too. I say better be regular than sorry!! I bet you will be laughing about that incident in no time!! I know that the plateaus are frustrating, I have been on one for 2.5 weeks. I was sailing along and with only 15 more pounds to go I thought, no problem it will happen fast. I find that if I eat more than 800 calories I gain. I try to stick around 600-700 and eat high protein. The stall will break, one day at a time!! YOU GOT THIS!!!
  14. I am with you on this one. My goal weight is also still considered overweight on the BMI chart. I believe that these charts are just a guideline. I still want to lose 14 more pounds and right now am a size 12. I don't have alot of fat on my body and will/am looking quite slim. Go with your gut, you are the one that will have to maintain your weight not the doctor. Prove to him that you can maintain and I will bet he will be happy.
  15. Thank you for sharing your pictures!! You really look amazing!! I enjoyed reading your blog, very insightful and honest. We normally judge ourselves so harshly and when I see you in your bikini I think to myself: I must not look so bad either!! Rock it girl!! Good Luck with your new relationship!
