Lap Band Or Sleeve
i wanted something permanent. i also did not want a foreign object in my body that would require monthly adjustment. so the sleeve it was. if you are questioning your decision i would go with the band - if sure, stick with the sleeve. hope this helps.

Nervous About Surgery! Oct 15, 2012
as many sleevers told me: if you were not nervous before surgery, you would not be normal. this is a permanent operation and a life commitment. trust yourself. this journey contains many steps. the surgery is one step along the way. wishing you both the best of luck!

What Is The Psych Eval Like?
i sat at a computer in a room by myself and answered questions. took about 45 minutes. no big deal. if they do see any areas of concern they just want to address them before surgery. you'll do great!

Whats A Cheat To You?

Help! I Can't Get Anything Down!
those first few weeks are such a struggle. i am five weeks out and am finally able to take normal size drinks of water. i know it is extremely difficult to stay positive when you feel so weak. just keep up the sipping/small bites and you will make it!

Feeding The Husband
my husband has had to pick up some of the meal preparations. i have been so tired/nauseauted/emotional that making meals is the last task i need to face. don't be afraid to ask for help. in regards to family gatherings, i have just steered clear for the time being. it is just too much to face so soon after surgery. hope this helps. good luck with your surgery.

Hell!
sorry about your discomfort/agony. i also, had an unbearable first week. my pain was not relieved at all in the hospital. after five days home found out i had a splenic infarcture. i have been uncomfortable every moment of the last two weeks. i am now covered in a head to toe rash from the pain meds. whoever said this was the easy way out has no flipping clue. i am just trying to take it moment by moment. hang in there!

One Really Weird Nsv (And An Awesome One)

Fear Of The Scale....my Precious!
i do not have a scale in my house. i am just relying on my dietician/doctor appointments. i don't need the constant questioning of my body. i have done that long enough. if you can't get rid of your scale entirely maybe you can pick one day a week to weigh yourself?
