  1. Good luck girl. Tomorrow is just the beginning.
  2. Im sorry you feel like you hurt your moms feelings. Trust me when I say, you need to stay where you are going to feel the most comfortable. I have found most overweight people... myself included try to be such people pleasers all the time. Its our way, it seems, to be accepted. For just this once dont worry about being selfish and thinking about just you!!
  3. I started out at 3x and 28..TIGHT!!!!!! Today my 10's are loose...Really need to go try on 8's and m/l top. My underwear is what blows my mind.... lol My husband used to make a big production out of folding my underware... freaking 4 folds tri fold and then over... lol... now they seem so little!!
  4. I'm mixing my protein in my one cup of coffee. Back of the container doesn't say anything about heat affecting absorption
  5. I'm a week and half out from the ablation. No issues at all. I'm really feeling great. In another 2 weeks ill know if periods have stopped all together or not.
  6. Wow... You have been thru quite alot... Glad you are still happy with your decision to have rny. Again good luck on the next stage.
  7. I cant remember when I actually tried lettuce but you should try just a leaf now. Just make sure you really make it wet with dressing.
  8. I would be scared too... is the hernia the result of the surgery. Are the bowels not working properly because of the RNY. I ask only because I have such a problem with constipation.. Im 20 days away from being a year out. I drink an herbal tea called smooth move every other day.. just to keep my bowels going.
  9. How are you doing Debbie? Just think... only 5 days... such an exciting time. Concentrate on getting things in order instead of the clear liquid diet. Good luck!!
  10. If you are of the mind set that you have to do this... you can and will!! I have faith in you.
  11. I hope everything goes well for you. I think you look really good.
  12. I was reading an article on the Miles to go website about plateaus and how to shake them loose. Below is an exert from her blog: 1. Strength Training If you are not doing this as part of your program or lifestyle, then it's time to start. Working your muscles will help to strengthen bone tissue, increase lean mass, and ultimately boost metabolic rate. 2. Change Your Exercise Routine So you go walking a lot? Then try jogging, or swimming, or cycling -- anything that will change the way your body is working. If you are doing low intensity cardio work, then try some high intensity exercise. You could increase your length of activity also. Ahhhh...excuse me, "sitting" is not an exercise! The other day I went to the park and got on the swing....does that count? It becomes harder to lose the smaller we get, so we must increase activity and exercise. 3. Getting in extra Protein is a great idea for speeding up weight loss. Eating protein, for example, increases your metabolism by up to 30 percent and Fiber around 15 percent. Meals can have the potential to boost your metabolic rate up to two hours after you eat. So eating small meals increases calorie burn. Especially small frequent meals. When exercising, it helps to balance Proteins and carbohydrates for recovery. Stress releases hormones that negatively affect our weight. My nutritionist reminded me to focus on total health and not the scales. I had to remind myself to be relaxed and positive—to do the best I could do and let my body do the rest. Once I settled my emotions, it gave me renewed energy and motivation to move forward. Then out of the blue, the plateau came to the end and my weight took a sudden drop. Even so, I must accept that fluctuations are normal and that plateaus and gains will happen. Hope this helps Kristy
  13. Joe... figured by your profile picture that you would probably say that... ha!! Dont tell me how they are farmed... I dont want to know. It just tastes good and easy on the pouch.
  14. Don... You look awesome... Congrats!!!
  15. Everyone gets frustrated... We did this to ourselves... We made ourselves fat... You are looking different and better... Peel the skin off the wings there is some good moist meat under there. The mourning of not being able to eat happens to all of us... The sooner you deal with this demon the better your frame of mind will be. No one twisted your arm to have the surgery... Deal with the hand you dealt yourself... You got this!!!

  20. First of all be proactive. Explain your fears to your doctor and he or she can prescribe something. Second, for me personally, The nausea I felt was from eating too fast... it was more like a foamy stuck feeling.. not a rumbly tummy feeling. You will be fine. Just take all new foods slowly... chew chew chew. And follow your doctor and nuts orders. Good luck my dear!!!
  21. hugs to you girlie... hoping tomorrow is a better day!!!
