  2. How are you feeling Lisa... And what's for dinner?? Lol. I'm gonna try this balsamic mushroom chicken I found the recipe for on spark people.
  3. Don't beat yourself up!! Crap happens...good thing is that you can't eat much of the things that you know you shouldn't. Pick yourself up and today... Concentrate on your protein. Eat every 2-3 hours something small that is protein. You got this girlie!!!
  4. For me personally it was a while before I could handle tuna. At 2 weeks I was pureed stage and was eating soups and other creamy things. When I did finally start on tuna, chicken etc.. it had to be really wet.. like alot of ff mayo. I started with rotisserie chicken from walmart.. .dark meat as it seemed moister. Little bites and chew the hell out of it.
  5. I would worry about getting an ulcer drinking alcohol this early after surgery. Things that dont affect you now may in a month or so after all the nerve endings of your new pouch heals. Honestly I think you are playing with fire drinking alcohol and coke this early in to the procedure. You may not be getting sick now but who knows what it is doing to your pouch. Just my two cents. Good luck
  6. too funny... and only because some days I step on the thing 4 or 5 times to see if it will go lower!!
  7. I'm pretty sure it's hunger.. Try and eat something small every 2-3 hours
  8. Geez... Should have double checked by spelling and grammar... Sorry all
  9. Went to my one year post op appt yesterday. Iron and protein was on the low side. He told me to take a second iron... Ugh have constipation issues and start drinking a second shake... Double ugh. For one... Am I stupid to think of it like empty calories... Yes I am... Just suck it up! Anyway he wanted me to way 175 when I first started... I'm now down to 162.. And want to got to 158... He rolled his eyes and laughed when I told him I just wanted to be in the normal bmi for my height. I know it's just a number.. But it's right there within reach. Losing about 1-2 pounds a month now if lucky. But feeling great!
  10. Kayley ... These were awesome... Very filling. Do you store the leftovers in the fridge?
  11. I hit my goal weight but have readjusted it down to 158 ... Im stalled too but not worried. I am pretty happy where I am at and feel like my body will lose if it wants to. The thought of all liquids is not even appealing to me... but ya know it might just jump start you. Good luck
  12. You are doing so well heather!!! Happy birthday!!!
  13. Trying tonight... Thank you in advance ha!!
  14. I used J Robb for awhile.. Then the whole foods store where I got it just made it too pricey... But I liked it
  15. So dramatic the changes in just 3 months... Congrats
  16. Pulled this from an unjury email What are the symptoms of insufficient protein ? 1. Fatigue and/or weakness. Not just the feeling that we didn’t get enough sleep last night, but deep fatigue...or weakness where it’s hard to get through the day. 2. Weight loss plateau. When we don’t get enough protein, medical research indicates that the body tries to store calories rather than burning them. 3. Hair loss. We believe it is often preventable with enough protein. 4. Surgical complications. Is there surgery in your future? For many, the answer is yes. The best single numerical predictor of how well a surgery will go is your protein status. And, your body will heal slowly, sometimes very slowly, if your protein status is low. 5. Muscle Loss. When you don't get enough protein for weeks, you body starts taking protein from your muscles. So your body is actually taking muscle -- to help maintain other cells, and organs, and hormone levels. So it's possible you might be more easily injured if you regularly don't get enough protein.
  17. Like mami said... Energy does come back especially the more protein you can add and the more exercise you do
  18. Any carbs like bread or crackers makes me feel so sluggish... I avoid them even after a year my head still craves them but I really don't like the after affects. I haven't tried cookies... Never was much of a sweet eater... But lord those carbs....
  19. Still having my pity party.. Trying to make good choices. Tonight leftovers for the family and I'm gonna have a crappy 1/2 a vege burger..boca.. Really hate them
  20. 5 GRAMS of protein... How awesome is that???
  21. Each cup has 40 calories, 2g fat, 95mg sodium, 1g carbs, 0g Fiber, 0g sugars, and 5g Protein (PointsPlus® value 1*). Find it in shelf-stable quarts and refrigerated half gallons at most natural-food stores and some major supermarkets.
