  1. Alex Brecher started following alicesandra
  2. congrats! that is awesome!
  3. I have yet to run into any issues, I'm only about to be 6 weeks out, and have been working meats back into my menu over the last two. But yeah, I've pretty much tried everything I used to eat that I can do at this time (everything was healthy, so I had nothing to worry about with re-introducing them!). I have tried a few different breads (well, not white) but normal wheat bread & flat breads and they have gone down just fine. Although I have yet to see if I can still handle them after my first fill, but when that time comes around I shall see.
  4. ^ same! I wish I had someone near me who I could go out for lunches with to get little advice like that, but anyone I do know that's had the surgery now lives states away.
  5. Congrats! that is awesome. The liquid diet is hard at first, but once you get used to it, it isn't so bad. And before you know it, it'll be time to switch over to smooth/soft foods!
  6. Congrats & Keep on working!
  7. I was just told today by my surgeon 10 days post op you should be fine. HOWEVER; I really do recommend you give your surgeon a call and ask him.
  8. If you have a curves around you, I would suggest checking them out. Most of their circuit machines involve strength training
  9. That was one of the things I was absolutely afraid of. I have known a few people who went through the surgery but had that problem, even with following the directions exactly from the surgeon, and couldn't get surgery done.
  10. mine is more of right below where my 'leaning' place is, thankfully. I'm so glad it isn't where my bra underwire is, that would drive me absolutely insane.
  11. If you can get through the first week, the rest of recovery is a breeze. I personally didn't have any issues after I was home from the hospital, but everyone is different. I hope things get better for you, and soon!
  12. Lovenox are shots that patients usually injects themselves, prevents blood clots from forming, I know not all surgeons require it, but mine does for any kind of surgery here.
  13. Very well thought out post, enjoyed reading it. I will also have trouble buying smaller clothes, I have always been a very large girl, and within the last two months I have noticed changes with myself. Seat belts being looser, I can fit into the chairs outside of my doctors waiting room, machines at curves are so much easier for me to get in and out of, and the most important/biggest thing to me - the fact that I now have so much more leg room when it comes to sitting in the passanger seat of a car. These little changes, have made a world of difference in my thinking, just because I can now fit into things/more comfortably in stuff I was never able to before. My friends have noticed I am shrinking, my family - my clothes, shirts in particular, are starting to become baggy on me. Pants are becomming loose. It's just amazing to me. I believe I will have issues shopping in a few months times when I start shopping for a new wardrobe, because I am so used to being in the biggest possible sizes. That is something that will never change for me, as I spent 12 out of my 22 years looking directly at the biggest end.
  14. Nothing like that, just a few red spots that I started breaking out in!
  15. I have never once had a allergic reaction to anything before, which is why I thought I would ask here first! I have an appointment with my nutritionist monday, so I'll call and see if I can get in with my doctor for a quick appointment after as well. Thanks!
