5 Days Post Op

I went for my post op visit today. I've lost 11 and a half pounds. It feels really great :) I wish I was able to eat food though because I kind of miss the motion of chewing but my doc wants me to be on liquids and protein shakes for 2 more weeks!! Cannot wait until the 27th!

Congrats! that is awesome. The liquid diet is hard at first, but once you get used to it, it isn't so bad. And before you know it, it'll be time to switch over to smooth/soft foods!

I am day 4 post op. Day one wasn't bad had a morphine pump, day two was horrible, couldn't drink without burping. Day three better ad today not bad at all. My hardest problem is getting mynshakes in. I tended pre op to chug them, and can't donthat now.

I just hate to hear about anyone having pain after the band. I went home 4 hours after

surgery.......with only liquid Tylenol 3. Keep moving...I was able to have tomato soup on my

liquid..also yogurt...so life was ok. Absolutely get that PROTEIN down.....gives you energy and will keep your hair from falling out. Take it one day at a time...you are fighting the addiction to food that we all have or had... GOOD LUCK...
