  1. Just starting the journey myself! It is exciting and scary!
  2. Well, primary care was 100% supportive! Yeah! I worried for no reason. He actually helped start the bariatric center and his sister is the head nutritionist. I couldn't be happier! Best of luck with everyone's doctor. My suggestion is... If they are not supportive consider changing to one who is. I am a physician myself, and I feel its really important to have a good rapport w ur doctor. That being said, it would have been hard for me if he had told me to try another diet. And it would have been difficult to change drs. But honestly I would have. It's that important!
  3. Prayers are with u! Hope all is well with ur surgery and your little one.
  4. Thank you for sharing your experience. Also, it may help that I am physician & surgeon. I just need to think positively!
  5. I know this is a lame question, but I can't figure it out! Greatly appreciate help!
  6. I have an appointment with my pcp tomorrow to discuss WLS and I need his support. Has anyone had any good or bad experiences to share? I'm afraid of him telling me to just go on another diet! I don't think I could take it!

  8. Also....u r not alone. Write to me if you want to talk! I promise it will get better!
  9. I totally agree that u need to take care of yourself before you deal with your boyfriend. A person who is recovering is physically compromised (temporarily) and u just shouldn't have to deal with emotional stress right now. Be kind to yourself!!! Drink water, sleep, and know a much better life is waiting for you. Have u considered that this is a big adjustment for him too? It should be a positive one, but maybe he us feeling insecure about the "new you" wanting and needing him still? Maybe he is intimidated by ur new confidence? Only u know what is going on inside ur relationship. If he can't be supportive than u can do better!
