  1. I had a minor one repaired at same time . Spent one night in hospital and back to work today at eleven days post op. Pretty easy recovery overall! Hope yours goes well too!
  2. Dr. Said I could go home same day but I stayed one night cause the trip from hospital was 2 and half hours and wasn't sure is be comfortable. Good luck!
  3. I'm on liquids and love hot & spicy soup!
  4. 3 days post op for me. Had a lot of pain first nite but really no gas pain. Stayed in hospital for one nite. Still kinda hard to get in and out of bed. Tolerating liquids really well though. Have to keep reminding myself to drink slowly, but it didn't feel uncomfortable when I drank more/more often. Hope se all continue healing uneventfully!
  5. Lucky no gas pains ever! But it really hurts getting up from lying down and laying down. I've tried abdominal binder and support pillows. Any other ideas? Neither seems to make s difference!
  6. Had surgery yesterday, and doing pretty well today. Just got released from hospital. If anyone has any questions, feel free to write.... It's all fresh in my mind! Overall very smooth.
  7. I like grape, but wasn't too fond of other flavors. Better mixed w grape sf Gatoraid in my.opinion! It's really a personal taste. Good luck!
  8. Nervous and excited! Today was all liquids. Check in 6:30, surgery @ 9:30 am. Think good thoughts for me and if u are inclined please say a prayer! I will let u all know how I'm doing tomorrow! Thanks!
  9. I heard its the estrogen being released from the fat u r loosing. As u reach ur goal it will level out!
  10. I was pleasantly surprised by the awsome support of my pcp. I had the same concerns u have, but he was totally supportive. I hope u have the same experience. Let us know how it goes!

  14. My pre op is Tuesday but I kind of had to plan out time off in advance, surgery is 8-22. Were u having pain or really weak @ 11 days? Can I ask what kind of work u do?
  15. Hi all! I'm a podiatrist in private practice and am planning on eleven days @ home post-op. I am busy @ work but have a great assistant and put off doing surgery for a few additional weeks. I'll just be seeing patients in clinic. Do u think I'll be ok? (assuming no complications!). Thanks for your input & thoughts.

  19. I ordered mine on Amazon. They are plastic, tho. But not expensive @ all &complete set w cups, bowls,plates.
  20. Stayed on pre op diet in spite of pneumonia and an incredibly difficult day @ work! Good subject! Need to stay positive!

  22. Wow. I'm so so sorry for what u r Going thru. PleAse don't be so hard on urself. U had a rough time and will probably be fine next time, sounds like a fluke. My Dr. Has only one day of pre op liquids, so I bet ur surgeon will say it is fine. You will get thru this! I can understand how it must be overwhelming. Stay strong...thoughts and prayers w u.
  23. Re tracey, I know some pain and swelling is normal but I question what exactly is going on to keep her in icu? Abnormal swelling? Was there a complication? Don't be afraid to ask questions until u feel satisfied w answer. Sounds like something more is going on, but I'm not really in a position to say. Just my opinion. Please keep us all updated . Thoughts and prayers w u.
